Got a call from someone saying they were with BT, giving me this number and an address - 81 Newgate St, London, apparently. Spent about 12 minutes on the phone with him, then some bloke claiming to be his manager started hassling me to run commands like netstat and assoc on my PC because of some “security issues”. I told him straight that the number came up as dodgy, and he just cut me off. At least I managed to mess about enough so they gave up trying to trick me.

got a call from some guy claiming he was with bt, but he had a weird accent, probably indian or pakistani. he said my private internet connection was exposed to the public or something and kept trying to get me to check my network. i cut him off, asked where he was calling from and for his details. he gave me this number 0118 328 3074 and an address at 81 newgate street, london. turns out the phone number is actually for reading. feels dodgy to me now.

someone rang me up pretending to be from microsoft, said my account had been hacked and illegal stuff was going on, but they wouldn’t explain any specifics. really suspicious if you ask me.

Was driving when this number popped up, so I just ignored it. Once I got back, I checked it out here since it didn’t ring any bells. Cheers to the person who commented earlier - I’m definitely not calling that one back. Straight onto the block list it’s going!
