I got a call on my mobile around 10:15 this morning (3/2/18). When I picked up, there was nothing but silence at first, then I could hear some strange background sounds, followed by a sort of medium-pitched noise. No one spoke, and then the call just ended suddenly. The number showed up as being from Reading, but I don’t really know anyone there. I figured if it was important they’d ring me back within an hour, but nothing happened. No follow-up call, so I reckoned it must’ve been a scam. I’ve now blocked the number.
