Got a call from someone claiming to be Norton, said my subscription was overcharging me. They told me I had just a day to sort it out. Sketchy much!

I had a similar experience recently. When we rang them up, they kept us chatting for ages and then suddenly demanded £199 for a yearly subscription. We didn't hesitate to hang up on him!

I just got one of those supposed Microsoft alerts - they said my PC was locked, both on the screen and a voice message. They were telling me to ring this number, but honestly, it’s pretty dodgy. You’d think Microsoft would have some sort of 'scam number verifier' to help people spot these, but nope, nothing like that exists. To top it off, the number they want you to call is actually based in Reading, which makes the whole thing even more sketchy!

I just got a call from someone pretending to be Microsoft, trying to trick me into giving them complete control of my PC - they even wanted stuff like my bank info and all. Wasn't falling for that!

I fell victim to a scam involving this number after they locked my son's brand-new laptop. A message appeared on the screen instructing me to call this number. I ended up paying £149 for what was supposed to be a year's worth of antivirus protection. Thankfully, I contacted my bank, and they were able to refund me and block my card. Now, I'm just waiting to see if they attempt to take my money again, but my bank has assured me they will investigate further if that happens. They also provided a 24-hour helpline at 0203 2906962, but when I try calling, it just rings and then disconnects. What a total scam!

Got a call from 01183280116, said I had a virus on my PC and needed to call them back. I never rang them though, felt dodgy right away. Definitely a scam to watch out for.

I encountered this number on my computer screen while a rather alarming message popped up, suggesting a security breach and urging me to ring for technical help to sort out the issue. After making the call, I was quoted a staggering £253.44 just to have them remotely fix the problem. Upon researching the number, I discovered a plethora of individuals recommending a simple 'control-alt-delete' to dismiss the so-called security alert. It seems this is merely a ruse aimed at persuading unsuspecting users to purchase unnecessary security software. I regret falling for it, but I urge everyone to remain vigilant regarding this number.
