Someone claiming to be from the UK Advisory ECO Innovations Group rang me about some loft insulation they’d fitted not long ago, saying it was causing dampness due to condensation. They wanted to set up a time to come and inspect it. When I asked where they got my information from, the call suddenly cut off. The number used was 01620 282092.

I've had flooding at my place lately, but I'm sure they dont have my work phone on record, which is where they called me. Bit strange really. Some bloke named Ed rang me up saying the insulation I’d just got put in was gonna lead to damp problems and insisted I needed a damp survey done. He was obviously just going through a scripted spiel, so I told him exactly that before ending the call.

Loads of calls from various numbers recently. Just today I got one from 0118 324 6832, couldn’t get the bloke’s name though. He was on about insulation, like I’d heard before. I asked if he was a real person or just a robot, but he kept rattling through his script. Asked again if he was human or a machine, and then he just hung up. Also had calls from 01257 733213 - asked if their product was free and he said definitely NOT, so I told him I wasn’t interested and he dropped the call. And other numbers too, like 01256 830913 and 07584 011943 have been ringing as well.

Got a call from 011832 46832 saying he was from some government advice help about my insulation put in before. I explained it wasn’t the right number for me, then he just hung up straight away!

A bloke named "Tom" rang me claiming he was with some UK Advisory Innovations Group - didn’t hear anything about ECO though. It was all about loft insulation, similar to what others have mentioned here. He told me I’d get another phone in a couple of weeks. After he hung up, I checked the number with 1471 and saw it was 01435 205089. That number isn’t even flagged as dodgy anywhere. I was a bit sceptical about the call and decided to look it up online, glad I did because I found some useful info here.

Got a call from 01202 925381, a bloke called Tom who said he was with the "UK Advisory Eco Innovations Group". He wanted a word about my loft insulation, claiming it could be the reason for condensation. I asked if he was working for a private firm or a government agency, and he claimed it was a government department.
