Phone number ☎️ 01183244333 👆 is reported as a fraudulent service frequently charging individuals £4.50 weekly without consent, often linked to unsolicited text messages claiming users have subscribed to various gaming or entertainment platforms. Victims commonly report difficulty obtaining refunds, with mobile providers sometimes unhelpful or attributing responsibility back to the user. The scammers exploit legal loopholes and use premium text billing, making it challenging to block charges. Users are advised to immediately contact their network provider to block premium services, report to the Phone-paid Services Authority (PSA), and avoid replying to texts with “STOP” due to potential additional charges. Persistence with providers and regulators can lead to refunds. The issue affects multiple UK networks and highlights the need for stronger protections against such deceptive billing practices.

Spotted a £3.75 fee on my phone bill today, so I’m trying to get in touch with Primus Digital at 01183244333 or via email at [email protected][###] to find out what it’s about.

I've just noticed £40.50 taken by this firm for a service I never agreed to or signed up for. I never got any messages since this was linked to a SIM in my son's internet dongle. Spoke to EE and they said it's not their issue and I need to sort it with the company directly, though they did mention they'd block further payments. It's infuriating because it's clear phone providers are aware of this kind of scam.

I got charged £4.50 every week since early December and only just noticed. Vodafone ended up blocking the charges and refunded me £9. Still working on sorting it out to confirm I'm not signed up anymore.

Honestly, I’d recommend contacting your network provider straight away so they have to deal with any charges if they carry on billing you. I’m in the same boat as many others here - no clue how GoGameHub got hold of my number, and I never signed up for anything. Got a random text saying thanks for subscribing with instructions to text STOP to 60138. I did a quick search and saw warnings about scams, so I avoided replying to avoid racking up fees. I’m on a monthly contract with Virgin, and was really shocked when my bill arrived today - £18 in unexpected charges. Tried sorting it with Virgin Media, but they just say I must’ve subscribed, so it’s on me. At least they’re blocking that number now. Honestly, I’m thinking of changing providers because of all this.

These scammers charged me an extra £4.50 on my O2 bill. O2 told me they can’t help with it, so I contacted "secretsalescodes" and told them I never gave permission to charge me. They said they’re sending a £4.50 refund through the Post Office sometime next week. Guess I’ll wait and see if it actually arrives.

I’ve been with Virgin for ages, but the help I got recently was pretty poor and kind of rude, honestly. They basically said it wasn’t their problem and hinted that I must have signed up for some gaming sites, which I definitely haven’t. Despite sending STOP All texts, they still billed me multiple times this month. When I told Virgin about the scam again, they just brushed me off like it was nothing. I’m honestly shocked that a big company like Virgin would let their customers get ripped off by dodgy scam texts without doing much.

There are three dodgy charges on my phone bill adding up to £15, and I’m absolutely livid. When I rang Virgin Mobile, all they said was “it’s not our problem”. How is that even allowed? This feels like plain old theft to me. I haven’t signed up for any gaming sites or agreed to any of this spending. Virgin should really back up their customers instead of just shrugging it off. What a joke!

Hey everyone, just wanted to share an update. Late last night, I received a random text supposedly from GoGameHub around 11.26 pm. Then, earlier today, I got another message from txtNation confirming that my subscription with GoGameHub had been cancelled, so maybe the number 02076335073 is connected to this. While looking into this further online, I found out that some phone carriers allow you to block premium text services. When I asked O2 about it, they told me they’d put that block on my line.

Definitely a scam, if you try to text STOP to that number it says there’s a fee. I havent tried it myself but I’m planning to contact O2 to make sure they block any charges. No clue where this number even came from?

I looked up the number 011832 44 333, seems like just a normal landline as far as I can see. Someone answered saying they were from Text Nation and claimed they had stopped payments coming from my mobile, but said I hadn’t been charged yet or something like that. I was nearly going to cancel my mobile payments while I figured it out but held off. Fingers crossed I did the right thing and that number is legit. Going to do a bit more checking on this.

Got a message from "Gogamehub" that started with Receipt then Freemsg. When I opened it, it said I’d somehow agreed to a £4.50 weekly subscription. To cancel, it told me to text STOP to 60138. I did exactly that, then checked with my provider (Virgin) who confirmed it was a scam. They saw my STOP message and promised to block any more premium texts coming through. This scam looks like it’s linked to Reading - if you’re nearby, don’t hesitate to voice your concerns.

Had the misfortune of getting caught up in yet another scam just last night - and guess what, the phone companies aren’t doing a thing about it. Looks like they just push you straight onto a sign-up page without asking properly. This firm has been up to this nonsense for ages now and no one’s stepping in to put an end to it. Honestly, it’s disgraceful that both the officials and the network providers are turning a blind eye to this ongoing problem.

I was the one who flagged this a couple of days back - it doesn't look like Crunchyroll’s the problem, as I’ve quit using their site but still keep getting texts (4 so far, from 3 different networks). Got a message from MocoPlay showing the same number, saying thanks for my £4.50 weekly subscription payment. Like others have mentioned, ring up your network provider. They’re able to cancel this subscription and block any more from happening. They’ll ask you to reply STOP to the text number they sent too - supposedly it’s not a premium rate line. They also give you another phone number to call for a refund since they’ve already taken the first week’s payment. That number is for txtnation, but from what they say, they’re not the ones behind the scam.

I received a message from a firm called GameLand, which was totally unfamiliar to me. After spotting the charges on my bill, I rang Vodafone straight away. Thankfully, they refunded the money and put a block on my line to stop any more messages coming through - turns out they’d been deducting fees for over a month! The message included a number, 01189244333, so I rang it and ended up speaking to txtNation. They acted uncertain and even claimed to be funded by the government, which was obviously untrue. After a bit of a stern chat, they sent me a message confirming I’d been unsubscribed, so they were definitely involved despite trying to brush it off. Seriously, these sorts of companies should face legal action.

To whom it may concern,
I received a strange text on my mobile from your number:

FreeMsg: You are now signed up to GameStore costing £2.50 weekly starting 16/02/17. Text STOP to 64055 to cancel. Need HELP? Call 01183244333

I never signed up for anything like this, so I emailed them asking them to cancel this "subscription" right away and to confirm that they stopped charging me.
However, they replied saying they are reviewing my complaint but said to see the outcome I’d have to subscribe first? Seems like a scam to me.

I noticed a random £4.50 add on my phone bill recently. After getting in touch with Three, they kindly removed the charge and put a block on all premium numbers for me going forward. They passed me over to another team, which seemed like a third-party call centre working "for them." Both Three and the call centre agent mentioned people often end up subscribed without realising because dodgy links from Facebook lead you onto sketchy sites packed with ads. It’s all too easy to accidentally click on something and suddenly you’re signed up for a service you didn’t want. Like loads of others have said here, this feels like a proper scam, using sneaky tactics to trap people. Honestly, more needs to be done on this. Everyone should really take a stand and file complaints with any ombudsman or regulator they can find.

I moved over to Vodafone as they let you block these annoying texts, which I don’t think Three does. If you want to set it up, here’s how: 1. Sign in or register on MyVodafone. 2. Scroll down and select 'Manage account settings'. 3. Below the greeting, look for 'Manage services' and click it. 4. Hit the '+' beside 'Manage bars and data alerts', then choose 'Manage'. 5. Find the option for 'Premium rate info text bar' and switch it on.

Got caught out by some right scammers, so I switched over to Vodafone since they let you block those calls easily. Last I checked, Three doesn’t offer anything like that. If you want to set this up on Vodafone, here’s how: First, sign in or create an account on Myvodafone. Next, scroll down and find the ‘Manage account settings’ option and click it. Then, under the greeting that says ‘Hello’, you’ll see a few choices - go for ‘Manage services’. After that, press the little ‘+’ next to ‘Manage bars and data alerts’ and then hit ‘Manage’. Finally, look for the setting named ‘Premium rate information text bar’ and switch it on. Hopefully this saves you from the hassle I went through!

If you decide to block these texts from third parties it’s probably best to first unsubscribe by replying STOP to the message. Get in touch with Txtnation and ask for your money back if you never signed up. If that fails, you should raise a complaint with your mobile provider. I used a free service called Resolver to complain to Three. It took a few weeks of back and forth and I had to take it up with someone senior, but I finally got my refund. Good luck!

Just a heads up, before you go ahead and block these third party texts on Vodafone, it’s worth replying STOP to the message first to unsubscribe from the service. If you didn’t actually sign up for this stuff, get in touch with Txtnation and ask for your money back. If they’re no help, then you’ll need to raise a complaint with your network provider. I used a free site called Resolver to file a complaint with Three. It took a few weeks and a bit of back and forth, plus escalating it to someone senior, but in the end I managed to get a refund. Good luck!

My network, EE, has now blocked my account and told me to email [email protected][###] to try and get my money back.

They took 4.50 from my account just for sending a text that said “atop”. Ridiculous!

On New Year’s Day, a random pop-up appeared on my phone but vanished too quickly for me to read it. After that, I started getting texts claiming I'd signed up for 'TheBestFunnyVidz' with a weekly £4.50 fee. They tell you to text STOP to unsubscribe, but apparently that message costs £1, which I think was added to my bill by my network. I’m trying to get my provider to refund me but so far it doesn’t seem very promising.

I've been getting nonstop subscription texts from these lot, and every time I call to get them to stop, they promise to remove me but then sign me up again the very next day. I even tried to get 3 to block the charges from my phone bill, but they say it's not possible. In the end, I had to ditch a great phone deal just to get some peace from all the hassle.

Got a random text from this number saying I've signed up for a weekly subscription to some site called (UK.69channel.com) charging me £4.50 every week. I never signed up for anything like that. Honestly, these lot are scammers and really should be put an end to.

Seriously, can someone do something about this number? It’s beyond annoying and I don’t get how it’s even allowed!

People getting charged without any good reason, it’s ridiculous.

Do you think I should reply with stop or leave it alone? I'm worried they'll start billing me if I respond.

I got a message after just looking online for a bit, said something like £4.50 a week charge. Looks like one of those scammy texts trying to trick you.

Here’s a straightforward tip: ring up 01752 273491 and pick option 2, which connects you to the business partner. That’s actually the contact for the txtnation support team (the firm managing these charges). After bugging them with nearly 45 calls over a couple of days, they finally agreed to refund me. Initially, they claim they’ll forward your complaint but keep pushing and you might get your money back. Just don’t share any real personal info with them - honestly, they only needed your phone number to charge you in the first place. Use made-up names and bogus emails. Enjoy the hassle!

01183244333 keeps sending me messages about a MostExtremeTV subscription I never signed up for!! Its a scam from 85450 by some company called mgage. I reckon you should file a complaint with Which and try to track down whoever is behind this. Also, best to email them to stop these annoying texts.

Got a text about a subscription to extremeTV, which I’ve never heard about or signed up for. The message came through early, like 5am GMT. I replied with STOP to the short number they used, then blocked that 5-digit number along with the 0118 one that was linked to it.

Honestly, how is this even allowed? I was watching some adult stuff online and suddenly an annoying ad popped up with a new window, like it tends to do. Then out of nowhere, I get a text from these bastards claiming I’ve signed up for some service. Proper scumbags.

They went and signed me up for a £4.50 weekly charge without my permission, saying if I text back STOP it will end. But I haven't replied, thinking they'll just charge me even more. I've already sent STOP three times to try and stop any more fees straight away. It's crazy how they manage this, and honestly, how do they get away with it?

Just like many others here, I got a message saying I'd signed up for something. I rang EE straight away and they told me to disregard it since there wasn’t any fee on my bill. I even asked them to stop any third-party charges from going through on my number, and they agreed. But then, a few hours later, I spotted a £4.50 fee on my statement! EE said I'd have to sort out a refund myself if needed, so I suppose I’ll have to wait till after the bank holiday to sort it out. Proper annoyed about this!

Got a message saying I’d signed up for Mostextremetv and it’ll cost me £4.50 every week. I shot a text saying ‘stop’ to 64055 straight away. Now I’m just waiting to see if they actually cancel it and if EE can sort it out properly.

I don't get how they're allowed to ask for money when I haven't signed up for anything or even connected with them, feels like it should be against the law.

Just got a message saying I’m now signed up to ThebestfunnyVidz at £4.50 a week from Bamvas until I reply STOP to 64055. Then another one for some wopwappy thing charging the same amount. Both have the number 01183244333 for help. What on earth is this about? How do these people get away with taking money like this? Feels like nothing but a total rip off to me!
