My contract and phone is great, it tells me if the number is spam or a likely scam, and then blocks the call from getting thru. I just block them straight away. Sorted.

I received a rather curious call the other day, with the chap probing into my address and inquiring about some repairs to my roof. I let him prattle on, as I busied myself preparing a lovely cuppa. Imagine my surprise when I returned from the kitchen only to find he'd hung up! Just for the record, I reside in a ground-floor flat, so there’s really no roof to fix, is there? On a lighter note, that cup of tea really hit the spot-cheers for asking!

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from 'Newtech', offering a loft survey. I said no three times, but she kept pushing, clearly working some commission angle. Not many know my mobile, so I questioned where she got it from, and she admitted her manager buys the data. Told her to take me off their list and stop calling. I blocked the number but I’m sure they’ll ring again from somewhere else soon enough.
