Got a phonecall from 01183 150930 and somehow they already knew my name and which company supplies my energy! They told me my energy provider stopped operating back in FEB and EdF has taken over all the accounts. I couldn’t give them my account number when asked, so they said they’d ring me back on Tuesday. How did they even get that info in the first place? Looks dodgy to me, so I’m labelling this one as RISKY until I look into it more.

It’s so annoying how often I get calls from folks pushing supposed better utility offers. They’re mostly quite pushy and rude, and even after I tell them to stop bothering me and take me off their lists, the calls just keep coming. Total waste of time!

Got calls from some company saying they can sort cheaper deals on electric, phone, and gas. We told them to stop ringing us three times already, but they keep calling, about once daily. When I do pick up, they just don’t answer. It’s really getting annoying! Today’s caller claimed I asked for a call in the new year ‘cause our tariff’s ending - which is complete rubbish. We’ve told them in no uncertain terms to leave us alone. This is the fourth time we’ve tried to get off their calling list, but honestly, I’m not hopeful it’ll stop.

Got a ring at 8.20 on a Saturday morning, then the same number buzzed again about an hour later, then once more just before eleven. Picked up the first time to some bloke with a really strong Indian accent, barely English at all. Called by 0118 315 0930 at about 3:40pm on the 8th of May 2018, the person said his name was Cedric and he was from Reading. He offered us a deal on gas and electric that supposedly would save money, but it seemed way overpriced - like up to 70% dearer than our current supplier. We’ll be looking around for some other quotes before deciding.
