Purporting to be from my phone provider, they were attempting to entice me with an upgrade that seemed far-fetched and almost ridiculous. I engaged with them for a short while, but when they pressed for my card information, I pointed out that, if they were genuinely who they claimed to be, they’d already possess those details since I pay by direct debit. I also noted that their number didn't match the usual contact for my mobile provider. Following that, they abruptly ended the call.
