I couldn’t quite catch the company name, he only said it when I asked who was on the line. Something UK-related, no surprise there! He claimed he wasn’t selling anything and just wanted to ask me a few questions. First one was about whether I had any pets. For the second, when I told him I wasn’t sure how old I was, he got a bit rude and ended up hanging up on me.

Got a call from 01182308593 on 16th Feb 2023 at about 3:44 pm. Didn’t pick up, but it stopped ringing as soon as my answer machine started. Sounds dodgy, maybe scammers or just pestering?

She wanted to send someone to inspect my loft. Said she worked for Environment Advisory or a name like that. Asked for my name and address, which felt odd since she claimed to know about a problem at my place already? I asked for her company number and contact info, then she just dropped the call. Probably didn't like my questions!

I didn’t reply but the ‘woman’ kept going like I had - makes me think it was just a tape. I stayed quiet and after a bit, the call hung up. Classic SCAM / SPAM.

Yet another annoying call from the charming souls behind 01182308593. Being a local Reading number, I presumed it was work-related and called back, only to find it was the same irritating sales pitch for an energy deal. I let them have it with a bit of colourful language-honestly, when will these incessant cold calls come to an end? It's supposed to be against the law, yet it seems no one in authority is bothered. I can't shake the feeling that they’re getting a little something on the side for each successful con.

Got a call from 01182308593, looks fishy, about loft insulation supposedly linked to lung foundation warnings. They said if your loft insulation hasn’t been inspected in 18 months, you need a survey from their firm. I told them mine was checked just a year ago, and then they claimed there were pollutants found by the lung foundation. I mentioned if mine was inspected recently, it should be fine. Then she said "sorry to bother you" and hung up. Feels like a typical scam to me.
