Got a call from an unknown number with a Reading area code, but I’ve blocked that code because I don’t know anyone there. This was the third time today I’d had a call from that code. Usually, these calls turn out to be scams about loft insulation or energy advisors. I’ve ended up blocking loads of area codes now: 0118, 0133, 0151, 0120, 0123, 0125, 0203, 0204, 0161, 0175, 0186, 0163, and 0208. If your phone lets you block by area code and you don’t have contacts in those places, best to just stop answering and block them.

I live in Northern Ireland and these calls come in non stop! I tried just not saying anything and they hang up on me. Once I answered and said hello, they immediately ended the call. What’s the point if no one talks? Seems like they’re maybe trying to record something? I’m sick of getting these calls even tho I’ve blocked the numbers 😠

Got a call from someone claiming to be from a government scheme about energy insulation. They said I was required to get loft insulation done through them. Total rip off. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away. Don't fall for it!

Another bloody scam call! I tried to get a word in to find out what company she claimed to be from, but she just kept blabbering on. Eventually, I lost my patience and told her exactly where to shove her loft insulation - and it definitely wasn’t anywhere near me! 😂 I'm so sick of these nuisance calls - the government really needs to step up and do something. They should be able to trace the number, it’s got a Reading dialling code, after all.
