Got two calls from similar numbers today. First was from 01182 180124 and just now from 01182 180123. I looked them up and it turns out they're pretending to be a local Reading line but are actually from some call centre in the Philippines, connected to dodgy home improvement and loft insulation schemes. The first caller was a lady with a Filipino accent. The second caller stayed silent and ended the call when I didn’t respond. Both times, they asked for Mr and Mrs … by name. Suspicious, to say the least.

I got a call from this number wanting to talk to me. When I asked who it was, the person mumbled something I couldn’t make out, then made weird sounds like they were trying to sound like a call centre. After that, they just hung up.

Had a call where some geezer tried pulling off an Irish accent, but it was pretty rubbish. I told him I wasn’t up for it and started to end the call, but he kept shouting, “Hold on, don’t hang up!” which was a bit much.
