About thirty minutes prior, I received a call from this particular number. My mobile number, which I’ve transferred to a cloud-based provider named Xpatfone, seems to have allowed this to happen. I chose not to pick up at the time, but upon checking later, I found a notification indicating a missed call, along with another message suggesting I was still connected to the same line. I quickly ended the connection, but it certainly raises alarm bells for me - how can a person I didn’t even speak to still manage to reach me like that? It’s quite unsettling, to say the least.

I picked up the phone, but the caller immediately disconnected without uttering a word or leaving any voicemail. I suspect it was some sort of automated calling machine, perhaps just probing to confirm that my number is in regular use.
