When I mentioned Barclays, he had the gall to inquire if my card began with 4679. To further process my "discount," he requested I share the remainder of my card number. At that juncture, I decided enough was enough-I’m not affiliated with BT or Barclays, so I promptly hung up.BTBarclays3 yearsI just got a call from someone saying they were calling from BT, saying I’m a loyal customer and offering me a discount. They asked what bank I used, and I told them Barclays. Then the person said something like "your card ending in 4679," which freaked me out a bit, and when I said yes, they asked for the full card number.
