Got a call from a lady claiming to be from Virgin, offering to fix some internet issues we supposedly had. I said I believed everything was working fine. She then asked about the colour of the router light and if I did any online banking or shopping, which I said no to. Things felt fishy... she couldn’t explain why the call showed a local number but actually came from a centre in India! After a few more questions, I told her to just send me an email - needless to say, I never got one. Classic SCAM!

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from Virgin, saying she wanted to sort out our internet issues. I told her it seemed fine to me. She then asked about the colour of the router’s light and started quizzing me on whether I do online banking or shopping. I said no, and that’s when I began to get a bit iffy. She couldn’t explain why the caller ID showed a local number but the call was actually from an Indian call centre! After a few more questions, I told her to just send me an email - surprise, surprise, never got one. Definitely another scam trying to pull a fast one!
