Got a call from 01179657707 on the 13th of November. The bloke said there was an issue with my BT internet - sounded dodgy. The guy had an Asian accent but was using the name John. He gave me a ‘BT’ number that I knew was fake since I’ve worked at BT before. Oddly, the caller ID flicked between looking like a local number and an international one. I just ended the call straight away. Total scam.
