This was a scam so I've gone ahead and blocked the number from ringing my phone. I also reported it to BT for thoroughness.

Got a call at like 7.45 in the morning, there was a small pause before they picked up, then an Asian-sounding voice came on with ‘How are you today, this is BT Openreach’ - definitely seemed like a scam though.
