Got a call around 8.40 on Tuesday 13th August. The person said they spotted a couple of odd charges on my card, one supposedly from Amazon, then told me to ‘press 1 to cancel’ or something like that. The voice sounded super familiar, like those dodgy scam calls pretending to be from Amazon.

Got a voicemail from someone saying they were from bank security, warning me about weird activity on my account. Seemed dodgy to me, since no legit bank would call like that without identifying themselves properly.

Got a call claiming there was a dodgy transaction on my Amazon account. They made it sound like it was a security issue with my card.

Got an automated call earlier saying it was the East Midlands train booking line, sounded fishy to me. Might be one of those scams going around. Stay careful everyone!
