Got another call from OVO today trying to book a smart meter install, and nope, still not interested. These constant calls are proper annoying!

Got a missed call from this number, bit strange since just a few weeks ago I switched my energy to Ovo. They’ve asked me online about getting a smart meter too, which I’m not keen on at all.

Got a missed call on my phone but no number was shown. We use OVO but they don’t have this mobile registered, only close family know this number so I reckon it’s either a spam call or some kind of scam.

Had a few calls from this number over the past couple of weeks, but everytime I answered there was just dead silence. We stopped using OVO about 2 years back, and loads of folks online reckon it’s them calling. My tip? Steer clear of OVO, not worth the hassle.

Got a call from 01179303100, the area code seemed familiar. They asked for my brother, said something about OVO. I don’t get why they needed to ring us. Didn’t really talk much, the person had a strong foreign accent and was hard to catch. Seeing other people’s replies, it looks like this ain’t the last time I’ll get calls from them.

Got a call from a silent number. From what I’ve read, it seems like it's OVO Energy ringing about Smart Meters. I use OVO for my energy but told them ages ago I don’t want a Smart Meter at all. So, like any other annoying call when I’m busy, I’m just marking this one as harrassment.

I had this number call me and my call blocker caught it. Thinking it might be a company, and since it was late, I rang back and heard OVO Energy's voicemail for after hours. I reckon loads of people get no answer because they probably use some auto-dial system that grabs whoever picks up first, leaving all the others hanging quiet.

It only rang for a few moments before the caller hung up straight away. Over the last few months, I've noticed quite a few spam calls coming from the Bristol area code, so this one probably was as well.

Got a call supposedly from OVO about smart meters, but my Samsung flagged it as possible scam, so I let it ring out. No voicemail left either. I saw someone suggest just answering and sorting it, but I’m no longer an OVO customer, so it’s probably just a sales pitch, which I’m not interested in. It’s not really bothering me yet since it’s the first time, but I’m gonna mark it as spam and block it regardless. Cheers for the heads up, who-called! :-)

Got a call from Ovo Energy offering me a better rate. Thing is, I haven’t been their customer for over five years now. Didn’t bother to hear them out, just blocked the number straight away.

I saw this number pop up but didn’t pick up as it looked unfamiliar. Later, I checked ‘Who called me’ and thankfully I did. I’ve blocked the number since. Knowing who was behind it, I’m definitely not planning to renew my contract with them when it’s up.

Got a missed call from this number while I was at the doctors as my phone was off. When I checked 1471, it showed the exact time they called! Ive also received loads of emails from OVO about a smart meter. Ive told them I’m not interested. If they send me another email or ring me again, I’ll have to do something about it! So annoying! 😡

At about 1:30pm, 01179303100 buzzed my mobile but hung up after only a few rings. Almost instantly, the same number called the landline, but ended the call just before the answerphone kicked in, so no chance to leave a message. The speed between the two calls was suspiciously quick - no way a person hit redial that fast. Lately, OVO have been spamming my inbox nearly every day, pushing for a smart meter swap, claiming my old one is past its ‘guarantee certification’ - mine’s been in use for 21 years now. We’re not budging on this at all!

01179303100 Was out in the garden and didn’t pick up when the phone rang... I always have a look at my phone once I’m back inside, just to be sure it’s nothing urgent. After seeing some of the reviews here, I’m relieved I ignored that call! Big thanks to everyone sharing their experiences - it’s really useful to know. If someone rings me without me giving them my details first, they're a total stranger and definitely not someone I want to hear from. How are these calls even allowed? It’s a mystery to me!

This number keeps calling me over and over, but when I pick up, there’s nothing but heavy breathing on the line. So frustrating! I’ve had to block it now.
