I keep getting calls from this number all the time. Luckily, I have a call blocker that only lets calls through if they’re on my approved list, or if they say their name and I choose to answer. Since nobody ever bothers saying who they are, my phone rarely even rings. It’s brilliant and honestly worth the £50 I spent on the two-handset set. After that, I always look the number up here and block it straight away, so they don’t bother me again!

If you’ve just given to charity like Stand Up To Cancer, watch out for calls from this number asking for more regular donations. I donated recently and got a call from them. They mentioned you could opt out, but it wasn’t very obvious, so loads of folks probably didn’t realise they were agreeing to more contributions.

Had a look into this so-called Ethicall fundraising group - not sure how ethical they really are! Their office is listed at Ethicall Ltd, Waterfront, Welsh Back, Bristol, BS1 4SB, here in the UK. Contact phone is (0117) 908 8250. If you want to stop getting their mails, supposedly you can send an email to [email protected]. Guess I’ll wait and see if Ethicall actually follows through on that.

But I bailed when the charity volunteer insisted on me handing over bank details on the spot. Sadly, they already had my phone number, so I guess I have no one to blame but myself. The group was Feed Africa, so just a heads up - I reckon they might've passed my info along. Still, I know it’s on me, but they sure know how to pull at your heartstrings.
