I keep blocking each number as soon as they call. When I told them they weren’t really from BT and that I thought they were just scammers, they didn’t sound pleased at all.

Some woman called me saying her name was "Crystal" and that she was from Amazon security. She claimed I’d made a purchase of nearly £400 and said she needed to run a security check. I told her I hadn’t bought anything from Amazon today, plus no way they’d ring me from a normal Bristol landline. I called her out on it being a scam, and we argued for a bit. Then she just shouted a rude word at me and hung up! Crazy.

This morning, I’ve had the pleasure of fielding three calls from this number within a mere thirty minutes.
