I got this random ring the other day from someone saying they were calling on behalf of Currys, about a fridge we bought ages back. They said the insurance was nearly up and asked if I wanted to extend it. Sounded pretty legit, the woman sounded really clear and friendly, with barely any accent, supposedly from Bristol. Luckily, I just said no since I’d already gone through all our appliance cover recently. Felt like a close call though, could’ve easily fallen for it and ended up paying for something fake. Watch out for this one!

I got a call asking about insurance for a home appliance, so it’s definitely not a scam. But they didn't leave any voicemail or details, so I had no clue who was calling. Honestly, their customer service was rubbish since they ended up losing me as a potential customer. Still, as far as I can tell, it’s legit.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Currys about a care and repair agreement. They told me it wasn’t set up properly and asked if I wanted to renew it. Afterwards, I rang Currys direct myself and they said there was nothing wrong with my contract at all. Not sure how the caller got hold of my info, especially since I never shared any bank details with them - fingers crossed they haven’t got that!

this woman was so rude, started off by saying I’d recently been in an accident which wasn’t true. I told her to take me off their list but she just said “I’ll call you again tomorrow.” I told her to buzz off, and she kept on with “yeah, chat tomorrow then.” ended up blocking the number.

I got a call from 0117 4430013, which seems to be just the next number near the one mentioned here. They tried to book us in for a chat about an alarm system. When I asked if they had a website, they just ended the call straight away. Seems dodgy to me, but I doubt they're actual thieves or anything like that.
