I got called by some people about house appliances claiming there was a discount for me. When I asked about it, they kept insisting I did have one and tried to make me pay a certain fee. Then, if you mention cancelling, they say you need to pay a cancellation charge. Honestly, it felt like a total scam, so watch out and don't get caught up in it!

I never rush to pick up calls immediately anymore. First thing I did was check the website linked to this number - total scam alert! After realising it was dodgy, I went back to bed to get some proper rest. Cheers for the scam attempt, not!

Got a call from some bloke asking if I owned a washing machine. I told him yes, and when he asked the brand I said Hoover. Then he wanted to know the age of it, so I told him it was about 5 or 6 years old. After that, he just said that was all he needed and hung up. At no point did he check who I was or mention any data protection stuff. I'm sure they'll ring back sometime, but I'll probably just feed them made-up info again.

Definitely didn’t sound like a Bristol accent, I had a hard time grasping what they were saying. They kept asking about my internet service and the cost I pay each month. Reading through the different comments here is quite interesting. Looks like they’re fishing around for any info they’re supposed to collect for whoever’s behind the call.

As soon as I picked up, they just cut the call. I don’t know any individual or company in Bristol that’d need to ring me, nor would it make sense for them to have my number. From what I’ve seen in other reviews, if they hang up right away without talking, it usually means your voice doesn’t match the kind of person they want to scam.

I received two calls regarding an unresolved claim stemming from an accident, and when I was asked whether I could recall the details, I mentioned that I’d taken a tumble in my kitchen back in January and banged my head. The chap on the other end claimed he had already consulted with the solicitor on duty; however, his manner was utterly appalling. He told me to shove off and abruptly hung up! It was quite shocking, to say the least.

This number kept ringing, saying they were from some tax and PPI department. Once I told them to stop lying and called it a scam, the person got proper rude and shouted a load of swear words at me. They even phoned back two more times just to hurl insults. Proper harassment, no doubt about it.

The third one even said they’d keep phoning me all day if they wanted. I’ve reported everything to the police via 101 and also contacted Action Fraud.
