I got a call from this number super early, like 4:19am! Had me up wondering if it was family from around Bristol. Had to check it out and now I'm just gonna block it, no way I'm answering that again!

This number has buzzed my phone five times already and it’s only just gone noon. The first few times, I couldn’t talk to anyone because they hung up or left no voicemail. When I finally got through, the bloke was trying to chat about saving energy at home. I asked him to remove me from their list but he just stayed silent, so I ended the call. They’ve rung before, and one time when I said I don’t have a loft since I live in a converted barn, the guy just hung up on me. Got so annoyed I rang them back and left a rather cheeky message. Definitely feels like a dodgy scam to me.

Got a weird number on my phone, started with 4, which isn’t common around Bristol. Didn’t pick up straight away. Tried calling back after a bit but just got that “number can’t be reached” message. Did a quick search and found out that 409 numbers in Bristol are actually owned by DIDWW in Dublin - they’re the ones selling virtual Bristol numbers. Made me a bit wary, to be honest.

Got a call from them, just silence on the other end - definitely dodgy. I usually ask if they’ve had a change of heart or start yelling back, sometimes just singing silly songs to confuse them. If that doesn’t work, I just tell them to get lost in no uncertain terms!

These people are just trying to rip you off, wanting payment for jobs that aren’t even necessary. The police and other authorities never seem to do anything about it, which is really frustrating. Best to report them whenever you can.
