Got a ring from this number, some bloke was asking if I’d been in any crash over the past couple of years. The weird thing was, his accent kept switching up all funny. Told him straight away it was a scam.

I got a call from 0117 409 0726, with someone claiming to be a Life Insurance Broker trying to find out which company my Life Assurance Policy was with. I told them I wasn’t going to share that info but confirmed I did have a policy. Then the caller started telling me to “relax” and “take it easy,” which felt a bit off, especially since they already knew my name. When I asked to chat to a manager, they just hung up on me. Pretty suspicious stuff.

He started talking about my washing machine so I just said I don’t have one now since I moved to live with my son and daughter-in-law. Fingers crossed they stop bothering me now. Somebody rang me claiming to be from a company with "Global" somewhere in its title, but it all sounded really vague and I couldn’t properly remember the name. They were asking about the brand and how old my washing machine was, yet insisted they weren’t trying to sell me anything or use the info for anything, which made me wonder why they bothered calling at all. When they started probing for my age group, I figured it was time to end the call, but I had to cut them off pretty sharply because they just wouldn’t give up.
