01174090627 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 01174090627 👆 is reported as a persistent nuisance mostly linked to aggressive, sometimes rude cold callers claiming to offer solar panel upgrades or "PC Shutdown" services. Callers frequently use vague or false company names like "Nextgen" or "High Energy" and avoid giving legitimate contact details. Many report no message left, silent calls, or heavy background noise suggesting a call centre operation. The callers often reference dubious legislation or tech jargon about solar panel efficiency and safety, but their claims lack credibility. Several users mention the calls despite being on telephone preference schemes and describe them as potential scams abusing solar subsidy databases. Recipients feel the callers are misleading, evasive, and unpleasant, with some severing communication quickly due to the aggressive or unprofessional tone.

Got a call from 01174090627 this morning around 10.29 but I couldn’t pick up. The call stopped right when my answering machine kicked in, so I reckon it’s probably a scam.

I hung up on them loads of times. Got fed up pretty quick.

I got a call about solar panels, and somehow they already knew the property owners' names. Before I could even pick up and question them about GDPR, my BT Call Minder cut the call short and they just disconnected. Proper dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from a bloke named James pitching something called 'PC Shutdown', claiming it could ‘turn off your solar panels in emergencies and boost efficiency by rewiring them separately’. Basically, he was saying if one panel goes down, the rest keep working fine. I kept him on the line for a bit to stop him pestering someone else and asked for the company name - he said ‘Nextgen’. Tried looking it up online but nada, so I asked him for his phone details. He just asked if the number didn’t show up on my phone already. Told him I’d find out from 1471 later to report him. Pushed again for company info, and he started listing some 'partners' they worked with instead. Told him firmly he had to provide proper contact info, and surprise surprise - he hung up, just like all these calls do!

Got a call from James about DC shutdown on solar panels, said he’d try again tomorrow as he’s nearby. I told him I wasn’t ready to chat and that I needed time to look into it first. Jotted down his info and said I’d get back to him if I decided to proceed. He ended the call pretty quick once he figured I wasn’t keen.

Even though I've got my phone listed on the telephone preference service, this bloke rings me a couple times a week. When I answer, there's either silence or no one talks, but I can hear some voices faintly in the back. It's proper odd.

Got a call from a woman who was really polite, but she sounded a bit taken aback when I said I wasn’t interested. This wasn’t the first time they’d tried getting in touch, so I asked her to put me on their do-not-call list before ending the call.

Had a call from someone trying to sell solar, said I needed a "free" safety inspection to keep my warranty valid after 5 years. They kept throwing around fake rules and stuff, but I work in solar myself so I could tell straight away it was all rubbish. Just a typical solar scam!

Caller said their name was Smith and started throwing around all this tech stuff about solar panels, trying to confuse me with science. Then they wanted me to take part in a free survey - yeah, right, heard that one before. They kept going on about some US regulations too. I’ve blocked the number now.

They didn't even bother leaving a voicemail.

I didn’t pick up as they left no voicemail. Had dodgy calls before from people trying to sell solar panels. Total scammers, watch out!

I answered the phone and could hear a bloke talking to someone else with a load of noise like it was from some call centre. He started jabbering about my feed-in tariff for solar panels and then mentioned something about a DC shutdown happening over in the States. I just said I wasn’t bothered and hung up straight away.

01174090627 rings me all the time. Sometimes I get an automated voice saying no agents are free and they’ll ring back later. Other times it’s just strange noises like heavy breathing or faint mumbling that I can’t make out. Maybe it’s some call centre where they get paid just for making the calls, regardless of a sale or not? I once spoke to someone, like others have said, who was really pushy and wouldn’t take no for an answer. I told them to stop calling my number, which is listed on the TPS, and then ended the call.

I answered 01174090627 and as soon as I did, they just hung up on me. There was loads of noise in the background, sounded like it was from a call centre or something.

All I got was some weird heavy breathing on the line.

Beware, this is just another scammer pushing a so-called solar panel "upgrade." They claim there’s some new US law about shutting down panels that might come to the UK, but that’s completely false. Their promise to boost efficiency and FiT payments "up to 35%" is pure nonsense. The person who called, named Robert Sinclair, wasn’t professional at all and came off quite pushy. I ended the call pretty quickly, probably within a minute. I’ll be blocking this number straight away. Also, the number 0117 409 0630 called me too, under a different name, so I’m treating that one the same.

Got a call from some bloke who sounded really brusque, like he was munching on something while talking. He asked if Mr (x) was around. I asked him who he was, and all he said was “Yeah, you can ask,” but never actually gave his name. I told him I wasn’t a fan of how he came across and ended the call.

A bloke rang me up asking for Mr Jones, but I'm a woman and don’t know anyone by that name. He said it was something to do with direct current. This number has popped up on my phone loads of times before, but I never picked up till now. The guy’s voice was quite harsh and he didn’t come across as very professional at all.

All that talk about solar panels overheating and DC converters failing? Total nonsense if you ask me.
