Then, today, they rang again from 01688 570006, even saying they’d cover half the solicitor’s fee if I agreed to pay them back after I got my refund. I even got an email from them claiming they’ve arranged a refund of £5,167.50 for a PPI claim. They want me to pay £487.50 upfront before they release the cash, which sounds really dodgy to me. I’ve requested some proper paperwork from the finance company to prove the refund is genuine, but so far, nothing has arrived.
