it was a smart meter tech calling me. whats the issue? they already have all the info cause its part of the rollout. they didnt ask me anything new or collect details i didnt already give. and stop saying they call you 20 times a day. why would they waste time phoning you that many times?

Today was the first time they rang me. Cheers to those who shared their experiences before me. I'm going to block them straight away. This type of thing really shouldn't be happening. I've never given out my number, so I reckon they're just dialling every number in a sequence. No idea how they ended up with mine, but I'm fairly certain it breaks data protection rules. It’s just not on. Back in the day, this sort of hassle wasn’t common. Now, it’s constant, and it feels like we’ve got no protection at all. Someone really needs to step in and put a stop to these calls once and for all.

Had some right annoying bloke on the phone trying to get me to install a smart meter. I asked him to quit calling, but he kept cutting me off like I wasn’t saying anything. Ended up feeling glad to just hang up on him and block the number.
