I received a call from this number claiming to represent a mental health awareness organisation. Fortunately, my phone was playing up with a poor signal that day, so they mentioned they'd get in touch again later. I've since decided to block the number altogether.

I picked up 01173253902 but there was loads of background noise and I couldn’t really hear anything. When I tried to say something, no one replied. Bit strange really.

Some bloke named Andrew rang me claiming to be from the mental health foundation. He spoke really nicely and said he was working as a fundraiser for that charity. He even knew my email and where I lived, which he must have found on Facebook or something. So, just a heads up to everyone - be super cautious if you get a call from this number and definitely block it. He asked me to donate on the spot, but I told him I’d do it later. If I’d said yes right away, he’d probably have asked for my bank info.

similarly to someone else’s comment here, the caller asked me to verify half my postcode, saying they’d handle the rest. it felt a bit dodgy and my samsung flagged it as a spam call. the guy chatted about mental health issues since covid and even mentioned how much we’d collected in memory of a relative last year instead of flowers. he tried to get me to sign up for a monthly donation but i refused. he wasn’t pushy tho and hung up. i later rang the mental health foundation on a number i already had to check and they confirmed it was legit fundraising.

had a call from a lady called Olivia who said she was with some mental health charity. she went on about how lockdown's been tough on folks. without me saying a word she rattled off the last digit of my postcode, which seemed odd. later, she asked if i could spare £10 each month to support the cause, i said no. then she tried to push £4 instead. i told her no again and asked her nicely not to ring me anymore. this was from the Bristol area.

My phone rang from a Helmsley, Yorkshire code, but I have no contacts from that place. I didn't pick up, and they never left any voicemail or message.

I answered the phone and there was just silence for like 10 seconds, then they suddenly ended the call.

I'm convinced this number is up to no good. They were inquiring if I’d be interested in making a donation, but when I suggested doing it through the official website, they started to evade the topic and pushed me to share my personal information over the phone. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!
