Got a message that said it was from 121 Utilities. When I played it, there was this woman with a really rough voice, sounded like she wasn't feeling great. But what she actually said messed me up - she said something like "voicemail stupid shit phone!" then it just cut off. Rang the number back and the answer said it was 121 Utilities calling me. Blocked the number straight away!

Just had a ring from 121, saying they were calling for Scottish Power. They seem to earn a commission for every new signup, which explains why they're so pushy trying to switch you over. I reckon they think most folks don’t bother checking if there’s a cheaper option out there. They called me on my mobile since my home number is on the TPS list. Every time you block one number, they just ring from a different one. I'd recommend reporting them to the consumer advice team; the support they offer is quite comforting.

He said he was from 1-2-1 Energy, I got talking to a woman who said she’d check for a cheaper plan and then passed me onto this really pushy bloke with a Scottish accent claiming to be from Scottish Power. Not sure if it was legit but he got quite rude when I told him I wasn’t interested. I’ve blocked the number now, fingers crossed I won’t have to deal with anyone like that again.

Why cant she do it herself? Feels a bit dodgy to me. I said no thanks as I don’t trust who they might pass me onto, could easily be a scam.
