This company dealing with accident claims has been nothing short of a nuisance. They just won’t take “no” for an answer, it seems! Despite my numerous requests to have my details removed from their records, they continue to bombard me with calls. I've had enough and ended up blocking their number completely, yet they still find a way to ring me. It’s utterly frustrating!

I’m signed up to the TPS as well, but still get calls from these people, especially after an accident I had a couple of years ago. My car was parked when it got hit, and the driver took off before I got back. I had to make an insurance claim, pay the excess, but there was no other driver to name or contact. Recently, a withheld number called me and I asked to speak to a manager. They couldn’t explain how they got my contact info but said they’d send me a form to fill out and then reveal their sources. Of course, I never saw any form. When I asked for their company details and phone number, they refused to share anything. If you get one of these calls, I’d suggest straight away asking for full details - name, address, phone number and how they got your info. If the number isn’t withheld, make a note of it too. Always remind them you’re on the TPS and that what they’re doing is illegal. Just hang up and report them whenever you can!

This reminds me of something quite similar that’s been happening to me. I get calls from some 'Legal Department' about a car crash that supposedly happened more than a year ago. Neither me nor anyone else ever made any claims though. They keep ringing my mobile over and over again, really frustrating. I have no idea how they managed to get hold of my name and phone number!

Got a call at 1:40pm on 23rd December about a car crash I had more than a year ago, which has been sorted ages ago. They kept saying it happened this year, but it was actually the September before last. I told them how fed up I was with these constant calls since the accident. Some even wanted me to pretend I had whiplash, which me and the person with me never had. Quite annoying tbh.

I keep getting these calls all the time, even when I was away in another country and accidentally picked up, ended up getting hit with a charge... So frustrating! Cheers for passing my info around, Churchill - I’m definitely switching my insurance provider now...

About a year ago, my car was parked and empty when another driver hit it and took full blame. Luckily, it was just the bumper that got scratched, and no one got hurt. Since then, I've been bombarded with calls - sometimes multiple times a day - from people trying to get me to contact lawyers or claim compensation. I've even gone as far as not picking up calls from unknown numbers anymore. Honestly, it's really frustrating, and I don’t see any way to make it stop.

So, this company keeps ringing me saying they're Direct Assist, just like loads of others here have mentioned. My insurer's Aviva, and ever since, the phone hasn’t stopped buzzing. I keep getting calls from folks saying they're from Direct Assist. I told the last guy I've said no many times before, but he reckons there's no central place to note that down. I've told them I’d take legal steps if they call again, and have blocked the latest number they used to ring me.

Yesterday, I had a call try to come through, but it never made it cause I got this true call screening device. I used to get bombarded with nearly 20 calls daily, probably 'cause my insurer was passing my info around. Since putting the true call on, those calls have just disappeared.

It’s kinda satisfying checking my call list and seeing all those blocked numbers piling up :-)

I’ve had this number ringing me on both my home phone and mobile. Didn’t pick up at first, but after a few calls, I got fed up and answered on my mobile. The woman on the line asked for my husband, Mr ***. I told her he wasn’t around and that this mobile isn’t his number. I wouldn’t give their number to him either. When I asked who she was, she said something about a legal team. I just ended the call there. Later I looked up the number and found out it’s just some annoying spam caller. Shouldn’t have wasted my time answering it again.

This number rings me at least three times every single day. Even though I’ve signed up with the TPS, it doesn’t stop. Back in early 2012 I was in an accident, but everything was sorted by August that year. I’m done answering these annoying calls.

I've had pretty much the same thing goin on... these bloody pests keep calling, and the minute I pick up, they just cut me off! It's not only Admiral doing this either, I've got Quote Me Happy as my insurer, which is laughable given how miserable I am about them passing my number on to these annoying people and plenty more besides!

Two days in a row, they've been ringing my landline, but hang up right away as soon as I pick up. Then, without missing a beat, they ring my mobile and hang up even faster before I can say anything. Feels like they're just calling for some kind of payout for ringing the number or something?

A guy called Lewis rang me from this number and said he was from Direct Legal. From what I worked out, it’s actually some insurance company fishing for injury claims. Apparently, my details had been given to him by my own insurance people, even though I thought the new laws stopped that sort of thing.
