Keep going on about debts and cutting down payments, never stops ringing. They just won't accept no. I left it on speaker in the kitchen and it went on for over 45 minutes before they finally gave up. Four rings from them till now. I'm worried someone naive might believe their nonsense or just hand over info to get them off the line.

Received a rather dodgy call earlier. The chap on the line claimed he was dispatching a parcel from my bank because I was due a refund on a loan. The trouble is, I've never taken out a loan! When I challenged him, he switched tactics, insisting it was related to a credit card. I confidently told him I didn’t possess one, to which he attempted yet another angle, this time mentioning my nonexistent mortgage. When I shot that down too, he promptly ended the call! By the way, I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service for both my landline and mobile. While my landline hardly receives these kinds of calls, my mobile is bombarded with six or more a day!

The call kicked off with that familiar dead air, swiftly followed by some rather pompous chap prattling on about a supposed refund from either "Barclaycard or Capital One." Got a call from some bloke called Jake saying hes with Red Star and that I was due a refund. I told him my number's registered with the TPS. He just brushed it off, saying Red Star doesn't care about TPS and that it doesn’t actually matter. Then he goes on to say it wasn't technically a cold call, so the TPS didn't apply. Clearly, he hasn’t got a clue what a cold call actually means.
