Some bloke called "Michael" from "Reclaim Services" rang me up claiming to be working for the government. He said Northern Bank had changed their mind and were going to pay out a claim they’d turned down before, and that there was a few grand just waiting if I called the Accounts Department on this number. I checked a scam alert site, and yeah, it was a classic con, so I just disregarded it.

This lady keeps ringing up asking for my missus. Every time she gets one part of the name wrong, usually the second bit, yet she won’t stop calling. It’s getting really annoying now.

I got a ring from this number the day before, saying my missus was due £3639 from some PPI claim she’d apparently filed. The woman said her name was Jennifer and gave me a claim ID and a reference number. She told me to call back and speak to the Delivery Department to sort out getting the cash, which would be sent by cheque or just straight cash. Something about it didn’t sit right so I didn’t give them any info, but I’m still scratching my head over how exactly this scam is meant to work!

This morning, I received a phone call from a man named Peter who had a distinct Asian accent. Interestingly enough, he already had my personal information and didn't request any additional details. Peter informed me that I was entitled to £3639 from the Yorkshire bank for a loan I supposedly took out in 2005. According to him, the payment was supposed to be split between a cheque and cash. He provided me with a reference number and instructed me to call back, reaching out to the accounts department on extension 121. Although Peter's demeanor was quite persuasive, I must clarify that I have never taken a loan from the Yorkshire bank. Hence, it is crucial for everyone to be cautious of this scam.

This morning, I got a phone call from a gentleman named Michael who spoke with a foreign accent. He claimed that I was eligible for a refund amounting to £3639.00. According to his statements, I would receive £2439.00 through a cheque and £1200.00 in cash. Additionally, he insisted that I pay them a commission of £400.00.
Clearly, this is a scam - as seen by the other comments on here. It's astonishing how they use the same amount for everyone they target.
I appreciate the information provided on this platform. Hopefully, not too many innocent individuals will fall into their traps.

I keep getting calls from this number at least a couple of times daily, on both my home phone (which shows as a private number) and my mobile. They keep saying Halifax has to give me £2432 for PPI. If Halifax really owed me that cash, I’d have had it by now. It's just a persistent and annoying scam. The number calling me is 01173183634.

This morning, on the 13th of December 2018, I received a phone call from someone named Peter who had an Asian accent. Surprisingly, he knew my personal information and did not request any additional details from me. Peter claimed that I was entitled to receive a sum of £3639 from Yorkshire Bank as a result of a loan taken out back in 2005. He mentioned that the money would be given to me partly through a cheque and in cash. Furthermore, he provided me with a reference number and instructed me to call back the accounts department at extension 121. Although Peter sounded very convincing, I can assure you that I have never taken out a loan from Yorkshire Bank. It's important to be cautious as this could be an attempted scam.

Received a call today (12th June 2018) from this number. The person on the other end was named Rosie, representing Chargeback Claims. She informed me that I have won my PPI case and am entitled to £3,639. The payment would be made partially by cheque and partially in cash as interest. All I needed to do was call back with my unique reference number and provide my ID. It's important to note that the caller had access to my personal information, including my name, address, and loan details. However, I have decided not to call back as this is clearly a scam. Who would give someone £1,200 in cash? The offer seemed believable, but it's essential not to be deceived.

Today, on 5th December, I received a call from someone claiming that my claim had been settled, which was baffling as I hadn't even made a claim. The call was made by two individuals, a man and a woman, both of whom spoke with strong foreign accents. Sensing something fishy, I had already looked up the phone number they were calling from. When I confronted them about the call being a scam and expressed my disinterest, they abruptly ended the conversation. In my opinion, their quick hang-up indicates that they got caught in their deceitful act.

Got a few calls off this number, some bloke named Michael was warning us about money supposedly owed from Lloyds TSB! Obviously, this has to be a scam since Lloyds TSB doesn’t exist anymore. Luckily, I checked the reviews before replying. Not sure what they’re after but we never shared any details with them. Cheers everyone for the heads up! The number was 01173183634.

I almost fell for it; the deception seemed very believable. It all started with a call from Jessica, who then transferred me to Ruby on another extension. The call quality was extremely poor, so Ruby promised to call me back later. However, during the time between their calls, I decided to check up on the situation and came across comments from others. I want to express my gratitude to everyone who shares their experiences, as they saved me from being deceived.

Got a ring from someone named Jenny using this number, claimed she was with Black Horse Claims and that I was entitled to £3,439. I just said cheers, asked her to post me a cheque, then ended the call. Completely forgot to give her my address, mainly 'cause, mate, I’m no mug - don’t hand out personal info on calls! So, I got a call from someone called Emma at Charge Back Claims. She gave me some claim ID and reference numbers, saying I was supposed to receive £2439 and £1207 in cash. She told me to call the accounts department. Her English was pretty rubbish, and they clearly have my info, including details about a loan I don’t even have. I denied taking out any loan and haven’t bothered calling them back.

I got a call from someone named Jennifer and another called Rosie, saying I was due about 3600, like 1200 in cash and 2439 in cheque or something. It seemed fishy, felt like a scam but I kept quiet and didn't share any info. They told me to phone the delivery department who said they'd get back to me - seems dodgy, no way they'd ring again. What’s the deal with this??

Jennifer appears to be trustworthy. She provided accurate information regarding my loan, including my postcode. Moreover, she gave me a reference number and a claim ID, stating that if I contact the claims department, they will send me the money. This seems acceptable so far. I might consider giving them a call to see how successful I can be with this situation.

PPI scam alert - I encountered a situation similar to that of other affected individuals. Upon receiving a phone call, I decided to play along. However, as soon as the caller mentioned that I needed to pay them £400 through iTunes vouchers, I immediately realized it was undoubtedly a scam. Without hesitation, I ended the call to protect myself.

On Monday I got a call from someone called Jennifer claiming I’m due over £3,000 from Northern Rock. She said someone would drop by with part cash and part cheque. It felt really dodgy so I asked why they needed to do that, and she just started rambling about needing to check my ID. Haven’t heard boo since and definitely not answering if they ring again. What’s the point of this scam anyway? Absolutely ridiculous.

My mum got a call from a lady named Jennifer who claimed she was due a big sum of money. Mum asked if Jennifer could ring me, her daughter, to handle it, but Jennifer said she couldn’t call me for some reason. Odd, right? She did say I could ring her back though. So I dialled the number she gave, but it only rang once before hanging up. I tried a few more times and it was the same every time. Definitely seemed dodgy to me, so I’ve decided to sort my mum’s PPI claim through a reputable company, not some random cold caller.

I recently had a telephone conversation with someone named Rosie, and it turned out to be a scam. I could immediately sense that something was off based on the way she was speaking. Moreover, the call quality was quite poor, which I suspect was intentional. It seemed like a tactic to divert my attention away from the actual content of the conversation and focus on her voice instead (a common distraction technique). Interestingly, Rosie actually called back while I was in the process of writing this message, yet she abruptly ended the call once she realized that we had already spoken before. Quite impolite, I must say.

Just had a chat with someone called Rosie on the phone! Honestly, the way she talked gave me the vibe it was dodgy. The line was crackly too, but I reckon that was on purpose - probably to keep me focused on her tone instead of the actual words (classic distraction). Oddly enough, she called me right back while I’m typing this and then hung up as soon as she remembered I’d already said hello. Proper cheeky behaviour.

This morning, I received a phone call from a lady named Anna who had a Chinese accent. She referred to a loan, although all the other information she provided was accurate. However, we purchased our house from the same company she mentioned. Despite sounding convincing, she did not request any bank details, but insisted that we call her back. It is evident that this is a fraudulent scheme, therefore, I kindly advise you to report and block the number via your mobile service provider.

Earlier today, I received a phone call from a certain company that made a rather interesting claim. They informed me that they were able to retrieve some money on my behalf, specifically on payments such as excessive interest or overcharged insurance. Surprisingly, they mentioned that the amount owed would be returned partially in cash and partially in the form of cheques. I must say, it seems quite dubious for any respectable company to distribute owed funds in cash. Are these individuals underestimating our intelligence as seniors or simply attempting to deceive us? Regardless, I advise you to terminate the call immediately, as it is unquestionably a fraudulent scheme.

I have received a partial refund for my PPI (Payment Protection Insurance), with part of the amount given in cash, and the remainder to be paid through cheques. An officer will bring the cash portion, and I am required to pay them a commission by obtaining vouchers from a specific shop. It would seem logical that when one receives a PPI payment, they would receive a cheque minus the commission. It appears that they believe people can be deceived by this arrangement, but this lady is not fooled.

I received a call from a woman with a Chinese accent who claimed to have information about loans I had taken out in the past. Interestingly, she mentioned that there was money owed to me and it would be disbursed through a combination of a cheque and cash. She requested that I provide my address for the money to be delivered via mail. She also asked when it would be convenient for someone to drop off the payment at my doorstep. I had to call back to confirm this arrangement, but my instinct tells me it's a scam - though it does seem quite believable. It's worth noting that she didn't ask for any of my bank details during the conversation, but I suspect they might request them if I were to contact them again.

I have received a call stating that I am entitled to get £3,639, but I am uncertain if this PPI claim is legitimate. Maybe it sounds like a silly question, but I pondered if it might be a scam. I intend to call them back to clarify.
