Some bloke called "Michael" from "Reclaim Services" rang me up claiming to be working for the government. He said Northern Bank had changed their mind and were going to pay out a claim they’d turned down before, and that there was a few grand just waiting if I called the Accounts Department on this number. I checked a scam alert site, and yeah, it was a classic con, so I just disregarded it.

This lady keeps ringing up asking for my missus. Every time she gets one part of the name wrong, usually the second bit, yet she won’t stop calling. It’s getting really annoying now.

I got a ring from this number the day before, saying my missus was due £3639 from some PPI claim she’d apparently filed. The woman said her name was Jennifer and gave me a claim ID and a reference number. She told me to call back and speak to the Delivery Department to sort out getting the cash, which would be sent by cheque or just straight cash. Something about it didn’t sit right so I didn’t give them any info, but I’m still scratching my head over how exactly this scam is meant to work!

This morning, I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent who said his name was Peter. He already knew my info and didn’t ask for anything else personal. He told me I was due £3639 from a loan I supposedly took with Yorkshire Bank back in 2005. The payout was meant to be part cheque and part cash. I was given a reference number and told to ring back asking for the accounts team on extension 121. He seemed pretty legit, but I’ve never had any loan with Yorkshire Bank at all! Watch out for this one, it’s definitely dodgy.

Got a phone call earlier today from some bloke claiming to be Michael. He gave me some reference and ID number, telling me I was due a refund of £3639.00. Supposedly, £2439.00 would come by cheque and another £1200.00 in cash, but I’d have to pay them a £400.00 commission first. Seems like a total con, especially since loads of others are getting the same figures. Cheers for sharing this info here, hope they don’t manage to trick many genuine folks.

I keep getting calls from this number at least a couple of times daily, on both my home phone (which shows as a private number) and my mobile. They keep saying Halifax has to give me £2432 for PPI. If Halifax really owed me that cash, I’d have had it by now. It's just a persistent and annoying scam. The number calling me is 01173183634.

This morning, 13/12/2018, I received a call from a man with an Asian accent who said his name was Peter. He already knew my details and didn’t ask for any more personal info. He told me I was entitled to £3639 from the Yorkshire Bank for a loan I supposedly took out back in 2005. The payment was meant to come partly as cash and partly by cheque. He gave me a reference number and told me to ring back and ask for the accounts department at extension 121. He was quite persuasive, but I've never taken a loan from Yorkshire Bank at all! Just watch out for this kind of scam.

I got a call from this number today, saying they were from Chargeback Claims - 06/12/2018. A woman named Rosie told me I’d won a PPI case and was owed £3639. She said part of it would be sent by cheque and the rest in cash as interest. She already had my info like my name, address and loan stuff. She asked me to ring back with a unique reference and some ID. I’m not going to call them again - it’s clearly a scam. Who just gives out £1,200 in cash like that? It sounded quite convincing though. Don’t get caught out!

Got a call earlier today, 5th of December, from two people - a bloke and a woman - both speaking with a strong foreign accent. They said something about a claim being sorted for me, which is odd because I haven't even made any claim! I’d already looked up the number and found it was dodgy. When I told them I wasn’t interested and called them out as scammers, they just cut the call straight away. To me, that’s pretty much a giveaway they got caught.

Got a few calls off this number, some bloke named Michael was warning us about money supposedly owed from Lloyds TSB! Obviously, this has to be a scam since Lloyds TSB doesn’t exist anymore. Luckily, I checked the reviews before replying. Not sure what they’re after but we never shared any details with them. Cheers everyone for the heads up! The number was 01173183634.

I was almost fooled by this one, it seemed so convincing... The first person I spoke with said her name was Jessica, then she handed me over to someone else called Ruby. The connection was terrible, so she promised to ring me back. While waiting, I decided to have a quick search and stumbled across other people's warnings about it. Big thanks to everyone who shares these experiences, you really saved me from getting scammed!

Got a ring from someone named Jenny using this number, claimed she was with Black Horse Claims and that I was entitled to £3,439. I just said cheers, asked her to post me a cheque, then ended the call. Completely forgot to give her my address, mainly 'cause, mate, I’m no mug - don’t hand out personal info on calls! Got a call from this number claiming I was due £3600 from Northern Rock. They said it was a mix of cheque and cash, but told me to go to a pay point to pick up some of the money. Definitely a scam, don’t fall for it!

So, I got a call from someone called Emma at Charge Back Claims. She gave me some claim ID and reference numbers, saying I was supposed to receive £2439 and £1207 in cash. She told me to call the accounts department. Her English was pretty rubbish, and they clearly have my info, including details about a loan I don’t even have. I denied taking out any loan and haven’t bothered calling them back.

I got a call from someone named Jennifer and another called Rosie, saying I was due about 3600, like 1200 in cash and 2439 in cheque or something. It seemed fishy, felt like a scam but I kept quiet and didn't share any info. They told me to phone the delivery department who said they'd get back to me - seems dodgy, no way they'd ring again. What’s the deal with this??

Jennifer seemed pretty convincing, actually. She knew my postcode right off the bat and got details about my loan spot on. She handed me a claim ID and a reference number, saying if I ring the claims team, they’d sort the payment out. Looks alright up to now. I might just ring them up and see what happens.

I got one of those PPI scam calls too, just like others mentioned here. I played along for a bit, then they asked me to pay £400 using iTunes vouchers. That's when I told them straight up it was a scam and hung up. Pretty obvious nonsense if you ask me.

On Monday I got a call from someone called Jennifer claiming I’m due over £3,000 from Northern Rock. She said someone would drop by with part cash and part cheque. It felt really dodgy so I asked why they needed to do that, and she just started rambling about needing to check my ID. Haven’t heard boo since and definitely not answering if they ring again. What’s the point of this scam anyway? Absolutely ridiculous.

My mum got a call from a lady named Jennifer who claimed she was due a big sum of money. Mum asked if Jennifer could ring me, her daughter, to handle it, but Jennifer said she couldn’t call me for some reason. Odd, right? She did say I could ring her back though. So I dialled the number she gave, but it only rang once before hanging up. I tried a few more times and it was the same every time. Definitely seemed dodgy to me, so I’ve decided to sort my mum’s PPI claim through a reputable company, not some random cold caller.

So, I just got another call, this time from someone called Rosie. From the way she talked, I instantly knew it was some kind of scam. The line was really poor too, but I reckon that was on purpose - probably to keep me focused on her voice instead of paying attention to what she was saying, like a distraction trick. Actually, she just rang me again while I was typing this, and when she noticed I recognised her, she quickly hung up! Proper cheeky behaviour.

Just had a chat with someone called Rosie on the phone! Honestly, the way she talked gave me the vibe it was dodgy. The line was crackly too, but I reckon that was on purpose - probably to keep me focused on her tone instead of the actual words (classic distraction). Oddly enough, she called me right back while I’m typing this and then hung up as soon as she remembered I’d already said hello. Proper cheeky behaviour.

They called up claiming we got way less than we should’ve from our PPI, saying the bank owes us a lot more cash. Total scam.

Got a call earlier today from a woman with a Chinese accent, she said her name was Anna and mentioned something about a loan. Everything else she said seemed legit, but the loan bit was odd since we actually got our house via this firm. They seemed pretty convincing and didn’t ask for any bank info, but wanted us to call them back. Definitely a scam, I’d recommend you just block the number with your phone company.

Today I got a call from this firm claiming they’d recovered some money for me, stuff like insurance and interest I supposedly overpaid. They said some of it would come as cheques, but some in cash too. Honestly, who hands out cash for something like this? Do they really think us older folks are dumb or what? Just hang up, it’s definitely a scam.

Received my PPI refund but could only settle partly with cash and partly with cheques. The guy said he’d bring the cash, but I had to go out and buy vouchers to pay his commission. Honestly, when you get a PPI payout, I'd expect to just get a cheque with the fee taken off. They must think everyone falls for this, but not me!

Got a call from a woman with a Chinese accent who somehow knew about loans I'd taken years back. She claimed I was owed some money that would come partly by cheque and partly in cash. She wanted me to have it sent over and said someone would drop it off at my house, even asking when I'd be home. I had to ring the number again to verify, and honestly it felt like a total scam but was pretty convincing. She didn’t ask for any bank details though, but I reckon if you ring them, they might try to get your info.

This number called me saying I could claim £3,639 but I needed to ring them back about some PPI thingy. Is this for real or am I just being daft?
