I just informed him that he was broadcasting live and advised him against using any foul language. I also presented him with a selection of contests to pick from, which included a coveted signed CD from Little Mix. This prompted a good chuckle from him before he ended the call.

Just a quick update: This number rang me again today despite being asked to stop. I've promptly reported it to Action Fraud on the police's advice, reference number NFRC1603--------. I strongly urge anyone else who's been bothered by them to report it as well. Their number is 03001232040. The more of us who take action, the quicker they'll be brought to justice!

I’ve just had an intriguing experience with the number 01172942883, which, as it turns out, isn't affiliated with any known telecommunication provider. This calls stems from Bristol, here in the UK. A company representative rang me recently, and being a legal advisor, I can’t help but approach unsolicited callers with a healthy dose of caution. She addressed me by name, which added a layer of authenticity to the call, particularly since it wasn’t my own landline she was using, but rather one belonging to a friend of mine. Once I informed her that I prefer not to engage with cold callers and that I would be investigating both her credentials and the number before calling back, she swiftly became quite unpleasant, cutting me off mid-sentence. To me, this is rather telling! If her intentions were honourable, she would have encouraged my thoroughness instead of reacting defensively. I firmly believe in a strict policy of zero tolerance for such tactics; thus, I'm off to report this number as potential fraud. Just thought I’d share!
