Got a call from a bloke named Keith, sounded Indian and had a funny accent. Couldn't even remember his surname. He was pushing some kinda heated wedding services. Then he asked if I wanted to buy pelicans, which baffled me. I told him I wasn’t interested in pelicans or any wedding heating stuff. He got a bit annoyed, started rambling about toasting chow mein on my PC or something daft like that. I told him that was rubbish and hung up straight away.

I've been getting an incessant stream of calls from this number, yet they never bother to leave a message. I've chosen not to pick up, but I did just purchase a new domain, which usually means a flood of marketing calls is on the horizon. Out of curiosity, I looked up the number and came across various warnings, so I've gone ahead and blocked it.

BT Web Design called me around lunchtime and when I told them I wasn’t interested and asked to be taken off their list, the woman said she’d do it. But then, just a few hours later, the same number rings again. The lady on the phone was really polite and didn’t deserve to be hassled for calling, but I’m hoping by now they’ve realised I don’t want any more of their calls!

0117 258 999 - just like everyone else, got a few domains registered and now I get these annoying calls non-stop. I just tell them to take a hike, no messing about. Another trick I use is letting them talk, then when they stop, I go "Sorry, what was that again?" they get so fed up and usually just hang up. Works every time!

The bloke claimed he was with British Telecom. I asked if he knew it’s against the law to pretend to be from another company to try and make money, and if he realised he was being a right pain. He just ended the call. Bit of a shame, I had some time and was curious how it might’ve played out.

It's clearly one of those Indian call centres reaching out for a web and SEO firm. They must have snagged my details from whois-likely after I purchased a domain not too long ago. Blimey, they are relentless! I've been bombarded with their calls for weeks on end now.

Got another call today, they asked for my husband by his name. An Indian lady said she was from some design firm, but her accent was hard to make out. I told her she had no business calling him and she was an absolute pain in the neck, told her to jog on. I reckon she understood. I’m not feeling great right now, dealing with cancer tests and honestly don’t want to deal with these annoying calls!

Bloody Indian call centres, been getting about six calls this past week. I work nights so really don’t need to be woken up by these idiots. Usually they hang up before I pick up, but today I got through to someone. Reckon English ain’t their first language or something. Told her off with some simple old English words. Spoke to this guy "Derek" from some Indian call centre, he was actually pretty nice. Told him I’d already told em to take me off the list last week and asked to talk to a manager but then he just cut me off. Some woman said she was from "BT Design" but with that thick Indian accent, who knows if it was BT, DT, or even DB design. She was going on about a domain I purchased a couple months back, telling me Google couldn't find it. (Well, that's the whole point, innit!) I asked if she seriously thought I'd buy a domain blind without a plan, then just hung up. One more number for the "waste of time" list. At least my phone flagged it as "probable spam" before I picked up!
