My phone showed this caller as being from abroad, so I didn’t pick up. Later, I dialled 1471 to hear the last number, and it came up as 0117 2467760, which is actually my local area code. But when I tried to block it through BT Call Protect, that number wasn’t listed anywhere, like it had never rung me. I decided to ring it back and got a message saying, ‘the number you dialled is not recognised.’ Sounds like a proper scam to me. I’m going to log into my BT account and manually add this to the blocked list.
