My wife got a call from this number on her phone, and the person just asked if she could hear them. When she said no, they instantly ended the call. Luckily, she realised it was a scam straight away.

At first, they kept asking if I could hear them, trying to get me to say yes. I didn’t reply straight away but asked what the call was about. They repeated their question, “Can you hear me?” When I told them I hadn’t been in any accident, the call just got cut off!

Problem is, I'm not running a business and have no clue how they got hold of my contact details. I've ended up blocking every one of those numbers now.
