This number keeps calling me loads, but they always just change one number each time. When I pick up, I stay quiet and they hang up pretty quick, like in under 3 seconds. Honestly, I really want them to just stop bothering me already!

Someone called claiming they worked for a debt collection firm. As soon as I told them I didn’t owe anything, they just ended the call straight away.

Saw a missed call from this number dated 10 April today, they don’t seem to have rung back since then but could be trying different lines.

A right dodgy individual, this one. The number turned out to be a fake, just a message passed along from who knows where. Cheers to that, and good riddance!

I had a call from this number that I couldn't pick up. When I attempted to return the call, all I got was a single beep.

Got a call from someone saying they were from my phone provider and that I could get a big discount. They didn’t seem to know my phone number or any details though, so I just ended the call and put the number on my block list.

They called a few times over the past several days but never left a message. Had about five missed calls from this number in total. Pretty sure it’s just a scam.

Ah well, missed that call ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. But it feels like a close call, like on those TV shows when they’re tracking a phone line? This number’s gotta be easy to track back to the person calling, right? Seems like they’re up to something sketchy, hope they don’t know where I live!

Received a call from someone claiming to be Anna, but the location she mentioned was completely unclear. When I inquired about her calling place, she abruptly disconnected the line. Quite peculiar, really!

Watch out, this is a total con! They claim to be from Three saying you can get a free upgrade. Don’t fall for it, never share your details. If you’re still tied to a contract, Three wouldn’t ring about upgrades like this. Just be firm, maybe give a shout or a whistle, let them know you see through the scam. Usually they hang up straight away. Sorted!

I didn't pick up the call and there was no voicemail left either. So I decided to look up the number and found out it’s actually a VOIP number, which means it’s generated online and can be based anywhere globally. Most of the time, scammers, especially those from call centres claiming to be in the UK but actually operating abroad (often India), use these kinds of numbers. They usually don’t keep these numbers for long, and if you try to ring back, the line is mostly dead or disconnected. Looks like just another dodgy scam tactic to me.

Received a dodgy call today, trying to peddle discounted mobile phone offers. Clearly another operation from an Indian call centre...

Fishy, to say the least. They didn't pick up when I rang, and when I attempted to return the call, the number appeared to be disconnected.

I chose not to pick up since this number isn't familiar to me. I let it ring until it stopped. Is there any chance the authorities or even No. 10 could do something about these scammers and put them behind bars? If not, I worry that we might witness an increase in racial tension, especially considering the stereotype around certain groups being involved in such activities.

The first call I got, I picked up but stayed silent and it hung up after just a few seconds. About an hour later, another call came from a different but quite alike number - 0117 205 4776, looks like it’s from Bristol. Same thing happened, I didn't say a word so their automated system didn’t connect. Definitely just block and steer clear!

I didn’t pick up when they rang but then got a voicemail where someone from a call centre kept mentioning the O2 network and the number 3. Seems like they’re pretending to be different phone providers, probably trying to con people. I’ve blocked the number and flagged it through my mobile provider’s scam reporting system.

I received a call earlier purporting to be from EE. The quality of the line was dreadful. They were promoting a supposed ‘no strings attached’ 40% discount. Soon after, they began probing for my personal information. I suggest you hang up immediately!
