Got a call from someone about green energy and if I’m on benefits, they said they’d cover a new boiler if mine was more than 6 years old. I told him I hadn’t applied for anything like that, so he said sorry and ended the call. Really nice bloke, quite polite!

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise again. After checking your details, I’ve decided to block them so I don’t get any more calls. It’s strange though, coz I’m already signed up to block annoying sales or scam calls, yet they keep popping up.

I’m so done with these calls! Told them to remove me from their list but they keep ringing, sometimes three times a week. Honestly, I’m about to report them if they don’t stop.

Someone rang me saying I'd qualify for a government grant to get a new boiler. They promised to post me all the info and said there wouldn't be any charges. Felt a bit dodgy if you ask me.

Just got a call from this number claiming they're with some "green boiler replacement scheme." Yeah, right, and I must be from Mars! Total rubbish if you ask me.

Had a chap on the line claiming to be Sam, and he was prattling on about a complimentary heating upgrade. I probed a bit about how he obtained my number, and he mentioned it was from some database of his. Well, I informed him that I’ve never provided my details to any such database, so I instructed him to remove my number immediately and that I wasn’t interested in their offers. I've since blocked him!

I received a call from a chap named David, who was supposedly reaching out regarding a government initiative to replace my boiler without any cost to me. Firstly, he didn’t seem to have a clue how to say either my first or last name, which was quite amusing, to be honest. Secondly, I just had my boiler swapped out a year back and paid for it myself, after being told by the government I wasn’t eligible for any grant, even with my wife being registered as disabled and me as her caregiver. So, frankly, I doubt I’d need another boiler fitting any time soon, let alone qualify for any such scheme they claim to offer. Moreover, he called my telephone number, which is registered with the Telephone Preference Service and is also ex-directory. They really shouldn’t be making these calls in the first place. David-if that indeed was his actual name-was quite civil but promptly ended the call once I mentioned my boiler was fairly new and my number was TPS-registered. Clearly, he figured he was barking up the wrong tree!

I recently received a rather dodgy phone call from someone insisting they were representing a new government initiative designed to freeze and wipe out all my debts. Complete rubbish! I’d advise anyone who gets this type of call to hang up immediately and add them to your block list!

I've been receiving calls suggesting I've signed up for some new government initiative that supposedly clears all my debts, and all they require are my personal details. It's a bit of a laugh, really-best not to answer!
