6 monthsI got a call from this number and found out it’s linked to Uswitch, who do work for Currys, Confused.com (which is also with Uswitch), plus a few other firms they own. They often ring you back after you’ve made an enquiry. It’s quite tricky since loads of different companies share this or very similar numbers. Just be cautious though, there could be scammers pretending to call from this number. If you’re not certain the call is legit, it’s best to ring the company yourself straight away.UswitchCurrys, Confused. com1 yearBeware of this number, it’s a total scam. A woman who called, said her name was Jen, but I’m pretty sure that wasn’t her real name. She sounded really professional and almost got me convinced, but then she asked for my bank info which set off alarms. Later, when I rang Vodafone, one of their staff told me there’s a problem in my area and I can’t get broadband right now. Definitely don’t trust this call!JenVodafone1 yearI wonder how Jen would react if someone requested her bank info? Honestly, with how she's been acting, I reckon she deserves it.Jen1 yearIf you see this number pop up, don't answer, it's one of those typical phone contract con artists.1 yearI get calls almost daily and thankfully my phone lets me screen them. So now I let the call go to voicemail to see if they actually leave anything, but they just hang up every single time without a peep. After reading through all these comments, I’m more than glad to keep wasting their time like this.1 yearJust had a dodgy call claiming to be from Vodafone, total scam! Watch out, don’t fall for it.Vodafone2 yearsGot a call saying it was from Carphone Warehouse, that I was getting charged too much. The bloke on the line had this thick south London accent and was really rude. I ended the call, but he rang back straight away asking ‘why you being so rude?’ with a real cheeky tone. These scammers don’t even bother trying to sound proper nowadays. Just ignore and block if you get a call like this.Carphone WarehouseSouth London2 yearsMy son got a call from the Carphone Warehouse in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, and they were trying to persuade him to handle his contract through them rather than sticking to Vodafone like he always has. Turns out I made the right call after looking it up here - blocked it straight away. Normally if they don’t bother to leave a voicemail, I just ignore it, feels like it’s never anything important!2 yearsGot a call from someone named Amy using this number, pretending to be from Currys or Carphone Warehouse. She told me I had a phone contract under my name that was about to expire and mentioned a new deal. She kept pushing that if I visited the shop, the price wouldn’t be as good and insisted I sort it over the phone right away.AmyCarphone WarehouseCurry2 yearsThey kept ringing me up, said they were from Carphone Warehouse or something, even after I told them I wasn’t interested.
