I ignored the call since I didn’t recogonise the number. Turns out it was some Covid scam pretending to be from the NHS. It got me thinking how they even got my phone number? Funny enough, I’d just booked the fourth booster for my mum and my partner online through the NHS site on Friday, both of them being high risk. I even got a confirmation text about the appointment!

Then, out of nowhere, they started asking about my life insurance and said they liked the sound of my voice, which was just really weird. They even wanted my Instagram details, so I just ended the call straight away. Total scam and super creepy experience!

Got a call claiming to be from the NHS about the COVID vaccine. They asked if I was clear of covid and whether I'd had all my jabs. Then suddenly they wanted to know if my life insurance was current. Told them I don't even have life insurance and they just ended the call. Smells like a total scam to me.

I got a call from 01164737824, someone saying they were from Public Health asking me about the Covid jab, like if I’d had any side effects or issues with my GP, symptoms, or my vaccine certificate and insurance. I told them no to all that and then they just hung up on me. The caller sounded Asian. Since the number looked local, I picked up, but if it hadn’t, I probably wouldn’t have bothered answering. I’m actually expecting some calls, so that’s why I took it.

Got a call from this number around half eleven on the 26th April. The caller claimed to be from the NHS COVID unit and started asking about vaccines and my local health clinic. They also wanted me to rate their service. Then they switched to questions about life insurance, which I said I didn’t have. After that, they said my records had been updated and just ended the call suddenly. They didn’t provide any real info during the call, so I reckon this was a dodgy call.

Got a call from a guy with that same Indian accent, asking about some NHS thing. Then he wanted my WhatsApp to send some official government letter - I didn’t share it, obviously. Suddenly he starts asking if I’m married and making flirty comments. Super weird. He then said he’s fallen for my voice and will text me during the night. Said “love you” too. Honestly, it freaked me out big time!

Got a call from someone claiming to be the NHS Covid Hub, wanting to check on my vaccination details. I told them I’d had my jabs, then they asked if I’d got my vaccine passport yet. When I asked why they needed that since they should already have my info, they just cut the call. He told me it was some sort of backup, just in case. I pressed him again on why the NHS would need this info, and then he just hung up. Previously, someone called me from a London number claiming to be from the NHS. Now I’m getting calls from a Manchester number, and the caller said they were from Public Health England asking for my life insurance info again. I told them to stop ringing me and said it was a scam. The bloke then started swearing at me and yelling to leave him alone but also threatening to keep ringing me up like 100 times a day! I’ve just blocked the number now.

The last time I got a call saying it was from the NHS, it came from a London number. Now, they're ringing me up using a Manchester number and claiming they're from Public Health England, asking for my life insurance info once more. I told them to leave me alone and that it was obviously a scam. Then the bloke started getting aggressive, screaming at me to buzz off and threatening to bother me a hundred times a day. Got a call today from someone claiming to be the NHS or Public Health, asking if I’d had all my jabs and about any reactions. I usually don’t let it go far - as soon as I say my doctor or the NHS never told me to expect a call like this, they just cut off. They’ve been ringing me from these numbers so far: 0116 473 7824 and 0116 473 7825 (both Leicester area), plus 0115 778 9622 from Nottingham. Definitely seems like another coronavirus-related scam.

Someone said they were with the NHS. I asked them which Trust they belonged to, but they just looked confused. Then they said Hinckley, so I asked what county Hinckley’s in and they didn’t seem to get what a county meant. They went on about their system showing I'd had a covid jab and when I questioned which system exactly, they said it was Google!

He kept asking if I’d had the vaccine and claimed he was ringing from the NHS. When I asked why he didn’t seem to know himself if he was from the NHS, he began cursing. I called him out saying he’s probably a scammer, which made him swear even more. Then he said he wasn’t, but forgot to mute himself. After that, he started speaking in Hindi/Urdu. Eventually, he told me he was calling from India on behalf of the NHS and said he worked for Kings College NHS in London before hanging up.
