Some bloke said he was from a Covid jab team - I had to ask him to say most of it again. Then he started asking about my life insurance, wanted to know who with. I told him that’s private between me and whoever provides it, if I even have any. He was really rude and just hung up.

Received a rather dodgy call from these folks claiming they were verifying my vaccination details and wanted to update my medical records. They even inquired about my life insurance provider! I certainly didn’t make it a walk in the park for the poor chap on the other end, haha... I wouldn't bet on them trying to ring me again anytime soon. Classic scam, if you ask me!

A guy with an Asian accent said he was calling from a Covid vax centre, asked if I had any symptoms. When I said it wasn’t a good time, he just ended the call immediately. Totally sounds like a scam to me!

Got a call from a woman with an asian accent saying she was from the ‘NHS covid team’, asking me to confirm my covid jab details and even mentioned an old address from like 5 years ago. I asked why they needed this info and told them I wasn’t sharing anything on the phone, then she just hung up. Sounds like a proper phishing attempt to me.

Never ring back a call from a number you don’t recognise. Totally silly to do. I’ve handed this call in to the police via the ‘action fraud’ phishing page but it won’t make much difference if only I report it. Anyone else who gets these calls really needs to submit a report too so the police can understand how big this scam is. Just search for action fraud on the police.uk site, find the phishing report section, have a read and then fill out the form at the bottom. Make sure to put all the details like number and links in the text box they provide.
