I got a call from a local number, someone saying they represented about six different insurance companies, trying to check if my life insurance info was current. Since I’m familiar with where my insurer is located, I calmly told them I wasn't comfortable sharing any private info over the phone, especially since it felt like they were just making stuff up. I ended it by saying goodbye right away.
