I received a rather alarming automated call purporting to be from HMRC, instructing me to press 1 if I wished to converse with an agent. The message went on to ominously warn me of an impending arrest warrant in my name should I fail to follow their orders. Quite unsettling, to say the least!

They kept ringing every day, so in the end, I just blocked the number.

They keep ringing me every morning around 10:41am, always from different Leicester numbers like 0116 4737271. No matter how many times I block them, another one pops up. Definitely feels like a scam, so I'm just ignoring the calls now.

Got a call sayin it's HMRC about my tax code. They threatened to send an arrest warrant if I don’t answer. Not sure I trust it, so I’m just gonna ignore and take my chances.

someone rang me up saying i needed to cancel an iphone order or else i’d be charged more than £300. they asked me to go to their website and enter a three-digit code they gave me over the phone. i had a gut feeling it was dodgy so i ended the call straight away. then i logged into my amazon account to check any recent orders and there was nothing for the past couple of years. luckily my internet runs through a fibre cable that's installed locally, totally separate from my phone line, so i’m pretty sure these scammers couldn’t have got into my internet traffic.

Got a call from isle of savings earlier, they wanted me to switch my mobile, internet, gas AND electric providers. Sat through the whole 20 minute chat just to mess about and waste his time. I fed him loads of made up info before ending the call and blocking the number.
