I’ve been getting calls from this Leicester number that just cuts off as soon as I pick up. If you happen to ring it back, there’s this recording in an American accent saying something like, "please hold the line, your call is important to us." That’s when I usually end the call right there. It’s happened to me multiple times now, and I suspect it’s a premium rate number disguised as a local one to catch people out. My recommendation? If you encounter a call that drops immediately, it’s best to block it and steer clear of calling back.

I haven’t got a clue who this caller is; they keep trying to get in touch but never bother to leave a voicemail. It’s becoming rather tiresome with their constant calls several times a week. I reckon I’ll just block the number altogether.
