01163930296 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 01163930296 👆 is reported as a persistent boiler and heating cover scam, where callers often use convincing personal details to offer fake insurance or discounts. Callers are frequently unidentifiable, sometimes with Asian or other accents, and may hang up when questioned. Many report silent or no-message calls, recorded messages, or repeated calls urging for bank details. The scam falsely claims association with legitimate firms and may use spoofed numbers. Victims report that genuine providers confirm these calls are fraudulent. The public is strongly advised to avoid sharing personal or financial information, hang up suspicious calls, and report attempts promptly via official police channels such as Action Fraud to aid investigations and reduce scam prevalence. Blocking numbers alone is ineffective due to call spoofing.

This number tried to sell me boiler insurance but it was a total scam. If you get a call from them, definitely report it to the police. The best thing is to head over to the UK police’s fraud reporting website called Action Fraud. Just search ‘action fraud’ on Google, then find the phishing report section and scroll right down to the end to fill in a quick form. All these scam numbers need to be reported so they can track ’em properly.

I got a call about my boiler cover, which I've already got, but things got iffy when he started asking for my direct debit details. Watch out, this one sounds like a proper scam and pretty convincing too.

Got a guy on the phone acting like there’s been no claim on our boiler insurance for the past 8 months, yet he wouldn’t say who he was actually calling from. He obviously had no clue about the person on the other end or if we even had that cover. Feels like a dodgy scam trying to fake cover details or maybe fishing for our personal info and bank details.

A woman rang me up to inform me that I could obtain a more affordable boiler and heating insurance since I hadn't lodged any claims. I responded courteously, explaining that I had no interest in her services and certainly wouldn’t be shelling out £24 a month for it.

I got a call about boiler cover where they said they could lower my monthly payments. But when they asked for my bank sort code, I just ended the call. I rang up British Gas afterwards to tell them, and they said I'd be the second person to complain about it that day. Sounds pretty convincing, especially if you already have boiler cover like I do.

They've been ringing me daily all week, always with a posh sounding lady leaving the identical message. I never catch the company's name, just something like "we'll get back to you tomorrow" - and sure enough, they do! Tried ringing them back though, and guess what? The number's not accepting calls right now! Pretty clear scam to me 😤

Received a dodgy call about boiler upkeep, where they dangled the prospect of a discount but insisted it required the Manager’s approval. Once they transferred me to this so-called Manager, he began probing for my bank details, claiming it was part of the confirmation process. They had a fair amount of accurate information, which gave them a veneer of credibility. However, as my policy isn’t due for renewal just yet, I quickly realised it was a scam and told them as much-then they promptly disconnected the line.

Got a call about some boiler insurance I don’t even need since we heat our place with a range. There was loads of noise in the background, sounded like an Indian call centre buzzing away. When I asked the company name a few times, it came out so fast I couldn’t catch it properly. I then asked for the caller's name, for him to spell out the company, and to give me a callback number. He tried to dodge the questions but I kept pushing, then he just ended the call.

Got an automated voice on my answerphone about some home appliance insurance, saying they’d ring back the next day. The lady’s voice actually sounds like a real person and even called me by my first name, which threw me off at first. But I compared it to a message from October, same voice, different number though - 0113 330 8728 - and that number has loads of scam alerts online. Got a call from 01163930296 claiming to be a Boiler Advisor from Nationwide Energy Advisors or summat like that. Weirdly, he never mentioned the company at first, so I had to ask. He told me my boiler and central heating cover was about to expire - but lucky for me, I had my local engineer round less than a fortnight ago to service everything. I’m pretty clued up on spotting dodgy calls, and honestly, these scam attempts are just getting ridiculous trying to con people out of money illegally.

I received a call from an Asian gentleman named Norman, who tried his luck with me, claiming he could offer a discount on boiler cover. Caution regarding this outfit - they are definitely not legitimate. I first encountered them in mid-December. I've come across an array of comments here that perfectly mirror the experience I just had with a phone call, only this time it was a chap on the other end! Got a call from 01163930296 about some cheaper gas cover. The caller was hard to follow and sounded a bit dodgy, really not sure if it’s legit or a scam.

I got a call from someone saying something about Nationwide, something to do with my boiler I think. They mentioned if I hadn’t made a claim this year, I’d get a 35% discount next year. Thing is, I’ve never even heard of Nationwide for my boiler, so I just hung up. After looking it up here, I’m really pleased I didn’t carry on talking to them. Cheers for the heads up!!

Got a call from someone pushing boiler insurance, but they were super hard to deal with. Said they'd post me some details, so now I just have to wait and see if anything actually comes through. Can't say I'm looking forward to it.

Got a call from someone saying they were with my boiler insurance and that my details were shared by the company. Total scam though, I’ve never even signed up for boiler cover!

I just got a call about my boiler cover, but I don’t actually have any. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

Got a call about some gas boiler insurance refund. When i asked what company she was ringing from, she just went with "Gas boiler." Typical kind of scam, watch out, probably some common Asian scammers.

Had three calls back to back from different numbers but the bloke all sounded Indian and very similar. Ended up just hanging up while he was still rambling on.

I received a call from a woman who had an Asian accent, and it was rather unsettling as she seemed to know my surname. She mentioned that it had been a whole year since I'd had anyone check my heating boiler. The thing is, I don’t have any agreements with a service provider, so I’m quite suspicious this might be a scam!

Received a call today from a chap claiming to offer me a discount on boiler coverage. Strange thing is, I don’t even have a boiler policy! I mentioned that I’m with British Gas for home cover, and he immediately jumped on that, insisting he could provide me with a better rate. It sounded decidedly fishy to me, and when he began to probe for my bank details, I flat out refused. He didn’t take it too well and muttered something about needing to speak to his manager, promising to ring me again. Just a heads up, everyone-stay vigilant!

Received a call from a woman who spoke with an Asian accent. She mentioned something about my boiler and central heating cover, and oddly enough, she had my name and postcode. The thing is, I don’t have any such insurance, so I decided to hang up straight away.

I received a voicemail regarding some sort of home appliance insurance. It seemed quite salesy, and the voice had a bit of an automated quality to it. I won't be picking up if they try to ring me again!

The caller was nattering on about boiler insurance, but I really couldn't grasp what he was on about. I suggested he send over some written details instead. To be honest, I wasn’t too interested. So, I just hung up the phone.

This morning, I received a call from an Asian woman who attempted to persuade me into a lowered monthly direct debit for my boiler. When I pointed out that she was referencing a postcode from a property I haven't occupied in 17 years, she bluntly insisted that it was inconsequential and that I still required cover. After quite a lengthy and somewhat fiery exchange, she eventually seemed to grasp my point, parting ways with a rather cheery "have a good day!" She claimed to be representing a firm in Manchester, yet the number displayed was from Leicester. Just another addition to the long list of scam calls I endure on a daily basis.

I received a rather dubious call from a company going by 'Heating Solutions', asserting that I'm owed a refund for a gas boiler contract I never signed up for. They had the gall to mention my name and address, which sent alarm bells ringing. It felt like they were priming me for a request for my bank details. Quite frankly, it’s a nasty scam targeting vulnerable seniors, and it’s absolutely shameful!
