It struck me as rather peculiar when these individuals called and asked for us using my maiden name - I’ve been married for over a year now! As soon as we mentioned we’re now Mrs. _, rather than Miss _, they abruptly ended the call. I can’t help but wonder who they could be and what their intentions were. Quite the mystery, isn’t it?

We recently received a call from this number and decided to let the gentleman, who sounded Asian, prattle on for a moment. Once we probed him about how he obtained our number, he meekly responded that it was sourced from a publicly accessible database. We promptly informed him that our number is on the TPS (Telephone Preference Service) list, which clearly states that this sort of contact is against the rules. He seemed quite taken aback and apologised profusely for the inconvenience before hastily ending the call.

The caller insisted on speaking to me, but our son informed them that we weren't home. Next, the caller asked to speak with anyone else in the house. Our son, suspecting it was yet another sales pitch, promptly hung up the phone.
