Earlier today, I received a call from a chap with a strong foreign accent who seemed to struggle with English. He claimed to have a lawsuit involving my name, which completely baffled me! The bloke accused me of tax fraud, which was utterly ludicrous. I could hardly process what I was hearing, so I just ended the call without a second thought!

From my experience, if the phone hangs up after about 4 or 5 rings, it's almost always some telemarketer.

They wanted me to verify my name, which they clearly already had. The name of their company was a bit unclear and I struggled to make it out. When I inquired, “Who are you?”, they abruptly cut the call. I get the sense they were simply trying to validate my name and number, but it's hard to say for certain... I've since blocked the number.

Gave the number a ring back, and it turned out to be some sort of automated service from 'I adore my deals'. Quite unexpected, really!
