Got a call from a number I didn’t pick up and they didn’t leave a voicemail. Looked it up here and from what I gather, it’s probably one of those nuisance calls I’ll end up blocking. Odd though, no one’s mentioned this number for nearly three years - maybe it’s changed hands or been reassigned.

I got a call from someone saying they're from EE, but the accent was really thick and definitely Asian. He never bothered to ask for me by my name and just said I was using their services. I asked, "do i really?" and then he just cut the call. Feels like a total scam to me.

Got a missed call from this number just after midday, was expecting someone so thought I’d call back using 141 before the number, just to be safe. When I called, some weird American voice said "Your call is important to us, please hold" with a really bad accent, followed by strange, unidentifiable music before they cut me off. What’s odd is this same number 0116 300 0135 phoned me earlier, about 9 in the morning, and when I rang that back the same way, I got the exact same dodgy American voice. Pretty sketchy if you ask me.

Seeing the Leicester number pop up I thought I’d answer it. There was a woman on the line speaking with a heavy Indian accent and a lot of noise behind her, making it hard to catch what she was saying. She said she was calling from Carphone Warehouse - funny enough, I’d checked out their site the day before. Still, I’m always wary of cold calls like this and don’t usually talk to them, even if I’m thinking of upgrading. So I just told her the line was too noisy and ended the call politely.
