Got a call outta the blue from someone claiming they were from Utility Point, saying I owed them money. Tried ringing the number I found online and it’s dead - looks like the company’s gone bust. Never dealt with them before, and when the caller started getting a bit pushy, I just hung up. These kind of firms really should be a target for Starmer to crack down on, especially if they're bothering older folks. They’re lucky they can just hide behind their screens and not face any real consequences.

I've been getting texts nonstop telling me I owe some energy company £387,03 but they can sort it out if I pay £290,27 instead.

They looked like they stopped bothering me, but then out of nowhere, they started again in April. The messages switched from saying they’re getting court papers ready for a CCJ to telling me to ring them for a big discount, all in just 3 texts. Really glad I found this site. Got a worrying email about owing £537.35 to Together Energy. I did have them as my supplier back in 2021, so it made me a bit anxious. The email seemed legit and their website looks pretty convincing. When I called the number, my Samsung Galaxy gave me a spam warning! I’ve just deleted the email now and fingers crossed that’s the last I hear about it.

This is pretty much a rip-off. Barratt Smith & Brown Limited (BSB) used to be called Corporate Debt Solutions - Global Ltd (CDS) until December 2019. The Guardian wrote about them in 2020 with an article called “Collapsed: but threats to pick up the bills from these energy companies carry on”. If you google it, you’ll find it, and it’s definitely worth a look.

CDS Global is a debt collection firm that seems to ignore the truth. They harass and threaten you to get payment, even if you’ve already shown proof the debt was cleared years back. When you try to complain through their official channels, the harassment keeps going and your complaint is never properly handled. They say they’re regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, but that’s not true! Make sure you check things out for yourself and don’t get caught up in their tricks.

I’ve received multiple calls from this number, claiming that I have an outstanding energy bill. However, whenever I request to speak with a manager, they insist there isn’t one available and resort to threatening to blacklist me. It’s best to steer clear of them!

CDS seems to be a debt recovery firm. Best to ignore their calls. They can be rather bothersome. Make sure to add this number to your blocked list!

I already paid £40 cause Usio Energy went down back in December. Now I've just had another message saying I still owe £34.

Loads of texts from CDS claiming I owe money to Future Energy - which I definitely don’t. The latest message says my debt’s being passed on to a collection agency and it’ll damage my credit score!! I also got a voicemail for some Mrs Denise Jinks (really, Jinks). I rang 0116 296 1438 and they wanted me to prove I wasn’t her by giving my own name and address - no way! Why would I hand over my details to suspected scammers? Anyone know how to stop this nonsense? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

These muppets from CDS are saying I owe First Utility £124.23. Firstly, I’ve never even been with First Utility. Secondly, the letter I got today didn’t have my name on it, something they’d surely have noticed. Thirdly, I’ve always had a card, key, and in-home display. Oh, and the email they gave doesn’t even exist. Absolute losers, caught red-handed. Now do us all a favour and get lost.

I've been receiving correspondence from a firm called CDs Global rather frequently. I had a chat with a lady named Tasha Josephs, and we arranged for a weekly direct debit of £10.80 to be withdrawn from my account to settle my obligations with them. However, I've now received a letter indicating that I haven't fulfilled my agreement, and they're demanding the whole sum of £954.02. I'm feeling highly overwhelmed at the moment, especially with everything going on with my mental health and the stoppage of my benefits.

Total con artists messing with my elderly mum via text, saying she owes them over £150 which isn’t true at all. If I hadn’t stepped in, she might have ended up paying that money. Don’t give this lot a single penny - we’ve blocked their number now.
