Totally a scam, don't bother looking into it any more. Honestly, just nope.

I picked up the phone and the caller just hung up straight away. Sounds like it was one of those cold calls, probably trying to get hold of the owner. They must’ve been dialing loads of different numbers until someone answered.

As soon as I picked up, I just ended the call straight away.

This number, 011629044212, has rung me three times this week alone, saying they're from PPL PRS. It’s obviously a con. They really need to be reported for pestering people like this!

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from some music licensing firm - talked so quickly I couldn’t make out the name, just a jumble of letters! She wanted to know if we had hold music and if there were any TVs around the place. Kept telling me the call was being recorded and kept pushing for someone in charge when I said the director wasn’t free. Honestly, she was really aggressive and came off as quite dodgy, so I cut it off pretty sharpish. My advice? Don’t get involved with these lot, definitely not reliable.

I keep getting calls from people trying to get me to buy some kind of licence, all because they say I need it for listening to my Spotify. Total scam, honestly!

I think my elderly father got one of those unwanted calls because soon after we got an email asking details about our little business, like where the TVs and radios were kept, and saying we needed some kind of licence. Then today I got a call from this same number, and the person was pushing me hard to answer their questions and get back to the email so they could give us a price for what we supposedly owe. Definitely reported and blocked!

We got a voicemail from this number saying we needed to call back urgently. We're a company, and after reading all these reviews, I'm pretty convinced this isn't legit!

Fraud alert! This is definitely a scam regarding some so-called 'music licence' in the 'store'. They kept hounding me for my name and wouldn't take no for an answer until I finally asked for the name of his supervisor. Just best to steer clear of this nonsense-block and ignore!

They rang up saying they were from PPL PRS and wanted to know if we played music. There was loads of background noise so it was hard to catch everything. I told them we don't play any music at all, and luckily they didn’t try to argue with me.

PRS kept after me, saying someone complained about me playing music and that I required a licence. Total scammers if you ask me.

Got a voicemail from some PPL PRS lot saying i had to call them straight away about a music licence. Decided to check the number here and noticed loads of bad reviews. I work from home and honestly had no clue you needed a licence just to listen to music at home (which i hardly do while working anyhow). Feeling like this won’t be the last time they bother me.

I kept getting loads of annoying calls from them, nonstop. Didn’t give out any personal stuff like my name or anything, but it felt super dodgy. Totally trying to scam me, no doubt. Proper unprofessional and just pushy the whole time. Honestly, it just made me more sure they're a complete scam.

The call was full of static, really hard to hear them. They rang me at work and knew my manager’s name before I even said anything. They kept checking if there was any music playing in the background, which was a bit odd.

I’ve had a couple of calls from this number claiming I need some kind of licence for playing music in my shop, but I don't actually play any music at all. Each time I told them to leave me alone and stop ringing, as it clearly doesn’t apply to me. Now they’ve started bombarding my inbox with loads of emails instead.

I keep getting incessant phone calls at my office, all from someone purporting to be involved with music licensing. It's becoming rather tiresome, to say the least!

For sure a scam. They say they're from PPL/PRS, but we already deal with PPL/PRS, so they're fakes. They've been leaving urgent voicemails every day for the last three days. Just block their number and don’t share any details with them.

Been getting calls on my work phone over and over, but I never answer. After seeing what others said here, I suspec it might be some sort of scam. So, I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number and told my company about it.

They said they were from PRS/PPL or something, but nah, cheers. If I need a licence, I'll ring you up - or just sort it out online since it's not like we're stuck in the past, it’s 2022 after all.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with the PPL music rights group asking for the director. There was loads of noise in the background, and what they were saying was barely audible. They kept asking if there was anyone else who could handle legal stuff. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t really PPL, but if it was, they sounded really dodgy and unprofessional!

Had a call from a woman who sounded a bit rough, like she had a cold, and her phone wasn’t great quality either. She was from something like PPL PRS, asked a bunch of dodgy questions about our radios and TVs. I just told her, “Nah, we usually just sit here singing away,” and she went on about needing it confirmed by a Legal Decision Maker. I told her to go ahead, I was busy with the chorus. She didn’t seem convinced, but honestly, neither was I. Weird really, you'd think a massive company worth billions would be clear on this stuff, but apparently not!

Got a call again, second time now, about some music licence or whatever. The background noise was awful, couldn’t really catch much of what they were saying. I told the person we don’t have any music playing here. They didn’t seem to buy it and asked to speak to R......... (my partner). I firmly said no, and explained we don’t have a radio, CD player, or any instruments - not even a guitar or anything. Then I just ended the call.

Had these PPL PRS licensing folks ringing me non-stop. Seems they're for real, but when they start hassling businesses, it gets annoying. They dug deep into my online info and even tried charging me for licences meant for a different business with a name kinda like mine, probably because of some mixed-up Google listing. I've blocked loads of their numbers, yet they just keep ringing from different ones. Such a pain!

I have no clue who that was, but the person on the other end didn’t sound like it was anything important. The connection was pretty rubbish too, so I just said I wasn’t hearing them clearly and asked them to ring me later.

There's this group abroad who use clever software to make it look like they're ringing from somewhere in the UK. If they manage to trick you, they end up flogging your details for next to nothing to big-name British companies and marketing firms. Those companies then use your info in ways that benefit them. Worse still, these crooks don't think twice about passing your data onto global scammers and fraud rings. Stay alert and don't get involved.

I got loads of calls from 01162904212 about some music licence thing. The caller was really pushy and kept ringing me non-stop. When I tried calling back, the answer was just a recorded message saying "please wait your call is being registered" or something like that. Proper annoying!

Someone rang me up about the tunes being played at my shop, using my business name (which is a kind of nickname I give to regular folks). Thing is, we don’t actually have music on, so she said she’d remove us from the list or whatever. She mentioned something about the www.gov site. Honestly, felt a bit shady, like she was maybe expecting to hear music in the background. Who can say though? From what I know, you do need a licence if customers can hear the music, but if it’s just for the staff then it’s fine.

I received a rather puzzling call from someone inquiring about whether I possessed a music licence. The call was riddled with poor sound quality, leading me to believe it might be from an overseas contact centre. Strangely enough, they didn’t bother to mention the name of their business. Quite mysterious, if you ask me!

What a rubbish call, sounded like some call centre trying to be sneaky. They kept going on about being from some strange set of initials but never mentioned the real company name. All they wanted was to check if we had a music licence or something. Proper annoying!
